Best thing I have read all day. Hillary is formidable and wonderful at the same time.

I wonder if - should they ever get around to putting Hillary on a first class postage stamp, like they've been doing with a lot of First Ladies - they'll show her giving The Look.......

We really missed a great, great opportunity to have an amazing president in this remarkable woman.

If only we could elect a smart patriotic democratic woman!!!!!!!!

Hillary Clinton would undoubtedly "have been a far superior president than the man she to whom she lost in 2016". We can "thank" those voters who, having learned nothing, voted him in again in 2024.

It's astonishing. It's as though, with their votes, they were saying, "No, we really, really do want a racist sociopath for president."

Thanks for the black humor laugh :)

Fantastic, Shalise--an apt pattern that people should know about. I really liked that you mentioned "not a single Republican was in the room earlier in February when Leslie Wexner was deposed."

I noticed that when it was reported. All of us logical, caring people don't like when things aren't fair, and we don't like it when the bullies and cheaters pretend they are not bullying and cheating. Great call.

The Look! Is so wonderful, expressive, readable, delivering! Thank you. Post it everywhere!

Thank you for your reporting. Everyone with a strong mother who is a leader :) knows that look. I’m kind of melting right now just thinking about it. Clearly those reprobate republicans did not have strong or worthy mothers. That is why we are in this predicament. Just thinking about it. Orange mussolini had a mentally ill unavailable mother, eyeliner Vance had a drug addicted mother and a gun toting beat ‘em up granny, god only knows what kinds of derelicts Stephen miller and whoreman had - I shudder to think. I can make up what kind of bitch created the plastic surgery gnome. Both the Clintons speak of their mothers with honesty, respect and deference. If you can’t do that, then you had a bad mother. People don’t just drop out of a vagina and become good citizens and leaders. Their mothers create them, set examples, shape and love them. I’m not even a mother but I CAN do the LOOK. My mother taught me :) Be sure your voter registration is intact. I got my assignment for working the polls for school elections in May in the state that starts with a “D”. Here’s looking (kindly) at you!

With all due respect.....................f**k all of those GOP jackasses...................we need serious people and the GOP has almost none..........................

Ma's avatar

Oh, and the only thing maga gets perfect, they have no seriously legitimate people among them.

You should leave out the respect.

What a pleasure to read this thoughtful essay and reflect on the formidable HR Clinton's character, poise and intelligence. For a little while there I was actually back in the realm of the good ol' days when at least some of our leaders were worthy of admiration. Absolutely fantastic writing!!!

Elll. Oh. Ell. is right. Well done on this recapture of the grill by the Gee. Oh. Pee. on “the look” that sent them running to the nearest H2O closet.

Stupid legislators with an agenda and revenge in mind always need someone to blame or charge with something even if there is no there there. The 'look' might have some effect as if in the old tale of hitting the mule over the head first to get his attention were to take place first. These people are too dense and self-directed to respond to anything so subtle as a look.
