Indeed. Yet, litigation is too slow to stop Trump denying the election results this November I have heard from MSNBC commentators. We must find a number of ways to stop this.
Norm, I am always impressed with how upbeat you continue to be, while at the same time you are doing the hard work of defending these cases. We are forever in your debt.
The middle class is living off the investments of our forebears and the largesse delivered by the largest debt ever, the gap between average Americans and the rich has never been higher, we have been immersed in a string of failed wars since the Bush Administration, our Supreme Court is delivering extreme right wing opinions unmoored from Constitutional legitimacy, Congress is bought off by the oligarchs, and we elected the most unqualified, incompetent, corrupt, criminal, misogynistic, racist, cruel, grifting president in the history of America. Not once but twice. Today needs to be a day of rededication to the ideals that really make America great. Think of what we each can do to achieve that and then follow through so that we and our descendants can really be proud of this country on the 300th!
Meanwhile, headline from The Guardian: "Trump launches America’s 250th birthday celebrations with partisan attack." Nothing like trying to separate this country on July 4th. Makes it easier to continue his criminal enterprise.
Indefatigable! That’s what you are Norman Eisen. Thank you! And that’s what we all have to be in order to right this ship, dump this administration, and take back our democracy, imperfect as it may be. Hope you get some rest today. Happy 4th. May our country be on the path to democratic restoration by this time next July 4th.
I'm not at all surprised by the accusation from the Trump regime, but can anyone explain to me how the grand jury was convinced to indict Davey Hearn in such an obviously and outrageously trumped up case?
Having served on a couple of county grand juries, I don’t understand what probable cause there could have been to indict Mr. Hearn. Unless the prosecutors are lying, which I don’t put past anyone connected to this administration. And Jeannine Pirro’s performance in front of the cameras yesterday was nothing short of despicable - she was clearly lying through her teeth. I hope Norm’s first step is a motion to dismiss, since “there’s no ‘there’ there.”
My father lived the American Dream. 8th grade drop-out, coal miner (briefly), milkman for 37 years in DC. House, 2 cars, color TV, a Teamster funded pension with Healthcare. Retired to FL. He and my mother taught us how to work. And the 4 of us turned out just fine. I love this country and will fight to get rid of this oligarchy-ridden regime.
Thank you. Supreme Court reforms are acutely needed. I believe that if and when there are Democratic Congressional majorities and a Democratic President, that first must be Court expansion and re-litigations of the most agregous cases. Term limits, investigations of Thomas and Alito for corruption, rotating terms are fine but slow. Republicans will shriek, but they will shriek at everything. We must right this country's course as rapidly as possible by the most aggressive and expeditious means available.
Our win rate at the Supreme Court was about 80% this term — a striking figure given the court was so often bereft of law and logic….the court is irreversibly broken. Thank you for sticking with us!
Thank you for all you have accomplished with your partners. Where would we be without you!

We have to vote in overwhelming numbers, we need to be Hungary, 77%!
Thanks to you and all who engage in preserving and striving for the words "justice for all"
Have a happy and safe 4th of July!

"Trumped"..... *giggle*

I agree that we must have court expansion. It’s not unheard of and I think it will be necessary. It must happen as soon as possible.

Didn't work out for the Redskins.
