Yes, I had read about Colin Kaepernick and Bruce Springsteen receiving awards from the ACLU.
As far as I have been concerned since 2016, Colin is a true hero for standing up (in this case kneeling) for his principles at the very high cost of sacrificing a promising career with possibly many millions of $ in rewards. It truly takes someone with a strong ethical and moral upbringing to take such a stand.
Bruce Springsteen? Well, nothing further needs to be said. He has always done the right thing.
Disagree with some of this. Caitlin Clark is just a basketball player. True, it would be nice if she'd make some elegant, powerful statement about racism. But that is evidently not her skill set. So leave her alone.
More important, probably, are the activities of her teammate, Sophie Cunningham, who appears to be courting the MAGA faction. It's too bad, really. Sophie seems clever and fun. But in the long run, j don't think Magaloid Princess is a winning look.
I don’t understand how anyone can connect Caitlin Clark with Emmett Till. Till was killed in Mississippi before she was born. If whoever said this means she has been unfairly treated and accused of things she hasn’t done, that still doesn’t make sense. Most people don’t know that the woman who accused Emmett Till of inappropriate behavior toward a white woman has admitted that Till did nothing. She recanted other original testimony. It was a bit too late.
I wish people would stop talking about the WNBA as mostly black and includes many lesbians. Who cares about their sexual preference? It’s true that the league is majority black, but so is the NBA, the NFL, and even college football and basketball. Baseball’s Major Leagues are still majority white.
A psychologist who wrote a book about emotional intelligence pointed out that there are many kinds of intelligence. If you watch college and pro basketball, you will see what I call kinesthetic intelligence. The ability of these athletes to control their bodies in such remarkable ways can’t be explained by practice alone. They have a sense of body position and movement we can’t even imagine.

Did Sophie Cunningham vote for sexual predator Trump? If so, then her "protecting girls and women" speech is hypocritical.
If we start in on magaloid hypocrisy, we'll be here all night.
