This court is an activist court. They gutted the VRA without any oversight whatsoever. I like Doug Jones’s idea to elect these justices so they have term limits like every other federally elected office. Congress should be a balance on the Supreme Court.

I no longer live in Alabama, but I am determined to make SCOTUS reform my main demand of every elected official who has sway. State boundaries don't exist anymore when it comes to the voting rights of every American.

I sincerely appreciate that this article, among others clearly points out both the falsehood and the inconsistency behind the SCOTUS decision.

The lower court, which it should be noted had three Republican appointed judges, specifically documented the blatant racial legislative intent behind the new maps. It was so egregious that there was no question that it was unconstitutional.

If someone confesses, you no longer need to give the presumption of innocence.

If a legislature outright states the racial intent behind the redistricting, you no longer need to give the presumption of regularity.

If months before an election is too late to make changes without disruption, then during an election is too late to make changes without disruption.

If outcomes are bent to serve one side, then they are no longer law, and the court no longer deserves the presumption of regularity.

We "should" expect much better. But with this court, we can't expect any better. The majority is corrupt, partisan & racist to the core.

Anyone could see this coming... Robert's pretty much asked, "Who do you believe, me or your lying eyes?

The five corrupt bishops and their handmaiden are trying hard to drag the US back to the 1850s...court expansion will fix part of this...one justice seat for each appeals court....

2028 is a pivotal election....the future of the diverse US is at risk

The formerly-supreme court seditious 6 are active participants in the shitholization of this former ? democracy. Like the rest of the regime, they should be tried for treason, convicted, and sentenced to the usual and customary penalty.

Unfortunately, “should” is not the reality in this administration and this Supreme Court. Should would result in, at least, removal of Clarence Thomas, obviously the most corrupt in this court.
