I feel the same way I did when they overturned Roe. Doomed. It was a terrible idea to give Supreme Court justices lifetime tenures. All they have to do is bide their time until they get what they want, not what we want.
Oh well, another notch in the belt of the worst chief "justice" of what used to be known as the supreme court of the United States. I wonder how many millions his off-shore bank account grew by?
The Supreme court is once again looking after their own interests. They are responsible for Trump not being held accountable in the courts and have deemed that any President is immune from prosecution from anything they do while in office. They know that if the Democrats got the majority that new laws would be proposed to limit the power and tenure of the current court. That would certainly hamper Alito and Thomas from their corrupt pocket lining, while they are in office. Both are long overdue for investigations into their conflicts of interest, especially Thomas who, along with his wife was involved in the January 6th insurrection. They are tainted and are blackening the reputation of the current court. Kavanaugh and Barrett are not much better, allowing personal feelings and beliefs to sway their decisions. I am utterly disgusted at the moment and find it hard to sustain any hope that the Democrats will now take the house with this latest self-serving decision by this court. I don't think our republic will survive another two years of Trumps unchecked behavior.
We knew this would be the logical course of their behavior with a corrupt and racist president at the helm. They weren't held accountable when it mattered and we could still do something about it. Boy, they put on a good show, but the Maga 6 now openly operate with malicious intent because their power is unchecked.
I can't imagine being Justice Sotomayer, Kagan or Brown Jackson on this supremely racist and mysogenistic court.... smile and shake hands with clarence thomas???? John Roberts????Alito???? Gorsuch???? kavanough???? how can they face these people day in day out is beyond my imagination.... and yet they cannot quit and let them run over the constitution and totally destroy this country....
"But I’ll conclude with one point against the Callais dissenters, and one point in their favor.
Here’s the point against. The liberal position on affirmative action and other uses of race to benefit minorities would be much stronger if the left, over the last couple of decades, had not steered the ideology and practices of affirmative action in so palpable an anti-Asian and anti-white direction. What the left called “anti-racism” became racist, and everyone with eyes could see it. What the left called “inclusion” became exclusion.
By overplaying its hand on affirmative action, and by engaging in doublespeak while pushing “anti-racism” and “diversity,” the left made a huge tactical mistake, undermining its own credibility and empowering the conservative backlash. When, today, Democratic opponents of Louisiana’s partisan gerrymandering call it racist, they are not going to be taken seriously. And they shouldn’t be: They are simply playing a race card to conceal their own partisan objectives.
Now here’s the point in the dissent’s favor. The Callais dissenters vigorously decry the Court’s 2019 Rucho case, which held that partisan gerrymanders are constitutional. I agree with them. The sorry and democracy-eroding effects of that decision are now playing out all over the country.
Partisan redistricting can lock in control of a political party even if that party does not represent the majority. In Louisiana, for example, registered Democrats actually outnumber Republicans by about 37 percent to 35 percent (the rest are independent or belong to other parties). But if, in a given year, Republicans happen to get control of the statehouse, they can in theory draw redistricting maps that lock in their party’s legislative control, and assure it disproportionate congressional representation, for decades. The same, of course, goes for Democrats—as recent developments in Virginia may illustrate.
That’s not democracy, and it shouldn’t be constitutional."

"Perhaps the “left” should burn crosses equally on everyone’s lawn to make you feel better."
Perhaps the "left" should quit acting like blacks still need to be protected because they can't get ahead without help from white progressives. We just had a NASA flight that included a black commander and a woman. Do you think either one got their positions because of progressive policies or because of merit?

Just another day in a deeply racist country. The court has set fire to a cross on the lawn of every black and brown American.
Oh well what can ya do 🤷🏻♂️
the scary thing is that many black and brown Americans elected this creep
"Oh well"??? Gee, thots and prayers much?
What do you want me to do? Go punch Alito in the stomach?
Better yet why don’t you do that and I’ll pants Roberts.
I know we're powerless now, but let's not accept it as our future. I'm mad as hell, and I know you are too, friend.

The “left” is a fiction and as such cannot exclude anybody.
Perhaps the “left” should burn crosses equally on everyone’s lawn to make you feel better.

Just realized that whites can’t take racism from other whites. Ain’t that something?
You white scum getting everything handed to you on a plate from daddy and his good ol boys. Merit my ass
You should volunteer your time to redraw as many districts as possible.
Oh sorry. This 24/7 fightin’ mood is doing me no good
