She is a typical cowardly toady in this vile tRUMP administration. The security and well-being of the United States and its citizens are irrelevant to her. She just wanted to keep her job. Despicable.

You said it nicer than me, Mr. O'Neill.

Agreed. There was never the slightest possibility that Tulsi Gabbard would execute this position with integrity. It's simply not what she is.

Same for me. I certainly don't have a fraction of Mr. O'Neils' intelligence experience. But I have been aware and familiar with Tulsi for years. And so was never happy to see her take that role on. What an embarrassment she is.

"You join the ranks of recently departed Cabinet officials who held national-security titles while surrendering their offices to the president’s political needs."

Not needs. Whims. Let's be clear.

Gabbard was never a trustworthy servant. When she was still serving in active duty she had made contact with Bashar Al Assad of Syria. A tyrant who was gassing his own people with Sarin gas.

What an accurate and tragic summation of Gabbard’s tenure. She— and everyone who works for Trump— should be ashamed by their lack of integrity. What is the purpose of any of them taking those jobs? All their reputations are rightfully ruined. And hopefully many will lose their freedom, too.

It's time to rethink all the so-called security apparatus put in place after 9/11: Homeland Security has nothing to do with the security of the USA's citizens. It's all about theatre and now theatre of the absurd. The Director of National Intelligence is now a complete misnomer (and a joke), since the current administration has no intelligence and doesn't use what resources it has to increase it's knowledge. Subsequent administrations will have to rebuild the security systems to meet the current needs, likely very different than what was put in place after 9/11 and subsequently destroyed by the Trumpenstein Crime Syndicate.

Brian, you are very kind. Kinder than I am.

"I told you before that I was not rooting for your failure. I am not celebrating now. I wish you and your family strength in the days ahead.

I will not, however, minimize the damage of your tenure."

I am DELIGHTED to see her leave. I hope her family excoriates and humiliates her for years over her pitiful performance in a vital strategic role.

I even hope her Russian handlers stop paying her any more money!

Kinder than me as well. I wish for her that the bird of paradise flies up her nose. May she be shunned everywhere for her perfidy and opprobrium. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

Basically, the same can be said of everyone in this regime and their whisperers and toadies.

I can't "like" this post because Tulsi Gabbard is a traitor to the nation, full stop. She knew what she was doing when she joined Trump, so rather than wishing her well, I wish she'd move to Russia.

The ONLY current Trump administration officials that deserve well-wishes will be those who voluntarily leave and testify about the administrations' crimes.

I wish the majority of decent Americans appalled by the lies and crimes of Trump and all but a 3-fingered AI-handful of Republicans the strength to successfully end this national nightmare and right the ship.

Gabbard was unqualified for this position and job and was utterly incompetent at it. Like all cabinet secretaries, they are in name only as Trump takes control of everything. They are merely “place holders” in the role.

This is an update of a letter you wrote "in June"? We are three days from June; I assume you're talking about last June? It took me several rereadings of the first paragraphs to understand the dates you were talking about; looks like you didn't finish rewriting that original draft.

Jamie Riley's avatar

Thanks, Mr. Wizansky. I can update this to say June 2025. No reason to make people wonder.

Thanks for this. The lasting damage Gabbard has done gets lost among the many scandals coming out of this administration, and its shocking across the board incompetence - it's just another peak in the Himalayas.

Gabbard grew up in a cult, so she was already preconditioned to behave like a devoted cult member in Trump's cult.

She WAS raised in a cult. An interview with her late aunt (killed in Samoa) gives some details — it’s a pretty extreme cult also. I suspect even before she aligned with Trump she was accustomed to taking orders from this cult leader who likened himself to god.

Lying hypocrite Tulsi: “President Biden and Democratic Party elites have pushed us to the precipice of nuclear war, risking starting World War III and destroying the world as we know it,” she said, while spouting Republican talking points about “wokeness” and “elites”.

— it was Tulsi, Trump & spineless .GOP who have done this!

Hypocritical warmongers.

That was an excellent summary of her many deficiencies. Thankyou.

No matter the content, the title says it all. I try to support women, generally, but with these trump bitches, I tend to lean toward witch burnings.
