Netanyahu started a war that he knew full well he couldn’t finish (just to stay in power and out of jail). Shame on Trump for taking the bait or being complicit (whichever version you choose to believe), for ignoring the Constitution, and for not considering the full consequences of his actions. Now that Trump has involved the U.S. in this conflict, he expects the rest of the world to join his CRAZY Caravan, get involved, be as impetuous as he was, and clean up the mess he created…well, they aren’t his loyal subjects, they aren’t his puppets, and they aren’t that stupid; he has given them NO reason to put their faith or trust in him or our once great country.
No consultation with congress about this undertaking has been unsettling for me. I always knew it was up to congress to make a decision about war. Jen Rubin’s live streams yesterday and today have only confirmed what I already knew. Brian O’Neill has laid it out well here.
