I’d take exception to the following: “ Meeropol draws from a wide array of material, including clips from the talk show Carroll was hosting when Trump allegedly assaulted her (also called Ask E. Jean) and, most powerfully, from the video depositions she gave in both Trump trials.” It says Trump ALLEGEDLY assaulted her. He was found legally liable for sexual assault against Carroll. There is no longer anything alleged about it. He did it. He is legally a sexual predator. His enablers repeatedly use language that obscures the truth and then journalists repeat it and the lies are reinforced. The truth matters. Just as with the Epstein case, the victims weren’t “underaged women”. That’s an oxymoron. They were children. And Trump’s crime against Carroll is no longer alleged. It’s fact. Or am I wrong?

Also bothered by that—it undermines the entire article. Thank you for calling it out!

Thanks. It’s shocking this case hasn’t gotten more attention considering 82-90% of the country, from MAGA Republicans to Democrats, want the Epstein files released. When have Americans ever agreed on anything that much? Meanwhile, a jury of Trump’s peers have already agreed unanimously, in a United States court of law, that he assaulted and sexually abused someone. He tried to appeal and lost again. He lied in public (from the White House) about it and lost that suit and all appeals, as well.

It’s a fact. He’s a sexual predator.

And the man who complains (and complains and complains) about being treated unfairly is about to steal $230 million in taxpayer money while continuing to refuse to pay this woman the money he owes her.

He's already ponied up the money ... he had to post a bond before he could appeal (and appeal and appeal and appeal.)

On Sept. 5, in a 3-0 ruling, a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit upheld the $83.3MM jury award, rejecting Trump’s argument that the Supreme Court decision on presidential immunity for official acts should get him off the hook.

Donnie D-bag will, of course, appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, which in a normal world would refuse to hear the case, and the money should then (finally) be handed to Carroll. (Plus about $7MM in interest, thanks to D-bag's insistence on dragging it out for so long!)

Even if the documentary is not released, and I hope it is, read her book "Not My Type", really outstanding in audio, as she narrates it in her husky, exceedingly funny manner. It is poignant, quirky, hilarious in parts, and just downright satisfying as well as justifying. She and her lawyers, in short, kicked Trump's ass as well as his lawyers' asses, not once but two times. It's a pretty incredible story, and particularly elucidating on how craftily her attorneys put together their defense, focusing on the damage done to her reputation, to her sense of self, and not focusing on anything else, including politics. They focused on the crime done, and the crime thereafter, done by his big, lying mouth. The jurors x 2 bought it bigly. If he had been able to keep his big trap shut after the first trial, he'd only owe 5 M with interest vs 90M and counting. Not sure she'll ever see it, but with her exceedingly excellent legal representation, they just might make it happen.

I agree. Read the book. It’s fascinating and proves that all it takes to beat a pathological liar is the courage to tell the truth in a court of law. It’s the cowardice of others that has put him where he is.

Word of mouth via link release? I would absolutely watch it, and shout from the treetops.

To every writer here and everywhere else...KNOCK IT OFF! Journalistic objectivity doesn't require you to be pedantic and being evenhanded doesn't mean being insipid. You simply need to tell the unvarnished truth! His entire raison d'etre is lying and gaslighting. Say it!

As Julia Stewart has said, the word "alleged" is no longer appropriate. The use of it here is a gross insult to E. Jean Carroll when the idea of this article is supposedly to promote her story.

Journalists need to start doing better. Trump has all the appeasers he needs already, can the fake objectivity and start relying on some journalistic integrity instead. Tell it like is.

Is there any way this could be shown in Canada? I live in Kingston, Ontario where we have an excellent independent movie theatre, and a vigorous Film Society.

Get in touch with Adam Kinzinger. He found an independent way to put his documentary out on demand on all the streaming services thru Midas Touch Studios. I hope I have this right but if you talk to Adam I'm sure he'll be happy to share.
