As a professional author and editor, I agree with Mr. Podhorzer's focus on semantics in this age of soundbites. Words repeated often enough, as even Trump with his limited vocabulary knows, convey legitimacy. I will start using a more apt designation for Republican SCOTUS, as I hope that people will do in place of "red" and "blue" states and cities. Every state and city has a mix of political persuasions, but all are subject to the effects of malevolent targeting. New words, new phrases, newfound power, folks.
This has been driving me crazy, ever since the confirmation of Gorsuch. Finally, you come along and write a piece that is so honest and thorough, and cuts through all of the bullshit.
