Surprised Norm didn't mention the SCOTUS ruling in Abrego Garcia where they said they were unanimous in calling for due process. Certainly would apply here, where the Fifth Circuit divided panel is interpreting the law (wrongly) to be inconsistent with due process and hence unconstitutional.

With regard to what we can do, prior to the midterms, to protect the vote: Marc Elias posted a wonderful list (today) especially for blue states to create stronger structure around voting protections. Individual states can (and really must) put these protections in place prior to November. I'm not sure what is possible for "purple" states (like my own) or red states, but maybe Marc will follow up with more guidance there. There's alot we can do.
There is a strange story in today's news saying that in the Epstein files is a bunch of information claiming that despite voluminous files and many statements, the FBI could find NO grounds for pursuing sex trafficking charges against .... anyone. That left me gobsmacked.
