Jen is correct in saying they are creating undocumented to detain, hold in the warehouse detention centers and then deport them. In the process, filling the pockets of those who want to profit from this misery created for these people.
Here is a comment I posted last week already. It bears repeating here: "Please publicize the names of all those rich people who own the companies running these private concentration camps. We need to get busy boycotting whatever other ventures they own.
I alo understand that the grandson of Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall is on the board of directors of one of these companies! Shame, shame, shame."
While I am definitely for birthright citizenship, what will happen to all the babies and minor children, if/when the orange criminal war monger deports all their parents with help of his ICE and CBP thugs? Are we going to end up with thousands more babies and children sitting in concentration camps all by themselves, separated from their families?
As far as I know, there are still children separated from their parents, who can't even be found anymore, from his first disastrous term.
I was really taken by a comment from Juan about Trump and Project 2025 "it was to stress the entire system, right? To literally attack every single federal agency and to overwhelm the pro bono litigation attorneys that are out there fighting for our civil rights, for our democracy at the end of the day." Everyone, everywhere all at once seems a good metaphor for our lives since Inauguration Day 2025, and in fact escalating from Trump 1.0 elected in 2016. Cruelty and Loyalty are still the themes of the administration, particularly with evil people like Steven Miller pulling the puppet strings from the background and trying to control the P/R of a destructive plan. I am thankful for those who fight, in DC and in my home state, Washington, where WAISN and Latinos in Spokane and refugee organizations are carrying heavy loads in this fraught time. Today is a day for me of prayer that SCOTUS will do the right thing, and POTUS will get knocked down, yet one more time.
