Todd Beamer, passenger on United Flight 93, his words “Let’s Roll” will stick in my mind forever. His words just before storming the cockpit to stop the high jackers.

What a wonderful cup of coffee I have had today with Norm, Ruth & Kattie. The light beaming from the top of the Contrarian lighthouse has never shown brighter!

And, Gee Whizz, the way their words PIERCED the darkness!!!

Thank you, patriots, for what you are doing for America. I stand tall, praise and salute you.

I appreciate seeing the passion behind the discussion here and every time. We Dems have had to live with our frustration and deep-seated knowledge that our democracy is being coopted for malicious intent, only able to express that in living rooms and coffee shops and chat rooms. To share it feels good. Thanks to Katie for letting hers spill over today. When we watch the progress of 250 years, of the past 50 years, of the past 25 years being overturned, it is gut-wrenching. We know the difference between rule of law and rule of whim, and between right and wrong. Cutting through the gaslighting is true comfort in such times.

It is all becoming quite clear to me now. We are, simply put, putting people with no moral or ethical compass into positions of immense power. Power that the world has never before beheld.

This is not good.

yeah.. what a wake up call- but many of us did/could see this while too many did not. We cannot have a democracy- we will not- without engagement.

It is absolutely great that you three spoke so much about the anniversary of probably the second worst day in American history. Thank you for that, because most other publications are leading with umpteen stories about the killing of right wing quack Kirk and nary a mention of 9/11/2001.

You three are my very favorite coffee chatters.

We should absolutely talk about gun policy but we should also talk about kirk’s vile advocacy for justifying the murder of a ‘rational’ number of children as the acceptable cost of allowing every insane person in America to have a gun — or 100 guns. This is a cautionary tale to be careful what you wish for. GUNS KILL PEOPLE. That’s what they are for.

You three are wonderful models, mentors, litigators, authors, reporters. Honoured to be part of your 'team'!

The t regime is enticing us/We The People, to be violent - to react with violence to their unthinkable violence. When/if we do, our Democracy will be over.

Katie, I so feel your anger and disgust. It makes me very loud too! It’s all so deplorable and wrong!! Thank you Katie, Jen and Norm for always speaking so honestly and genuinely despite these hard times; listening to you always makes me feel less hopeless. I’m so grateful to have this community.

Katie was the only account I listened to about the murder. I have nothing nice to say and my thoughts aren’t kind, so I’ve stayed away from all punditry. The murder is a shame but the president has acted with his usual jackassery.

Definitely let's have a big tent and support democracy everywhere. Thank you for all the work you are doing, especially Norm and court work.

This was so fine. Thank you all.

Correct about motivation. Bremer, who shot George Wallace did it for fame. Not political.

Charlie Kirk's death was so well addressed, here. You explained how I'm viewing it all too. 💔

How can one have rational discussion with people who reject facts or even worse endorse blatant lies as the truth. In other words how can a rule of law based on Enlightenment Ideals be maintained.
