A living memorial to a president struck down before his time, in a such a tragedy that it silenced the nation for a week. A living memorial to a president who understood and celebrated the importance of the arts to the American people. A living memorial to a president who worked for peace in a such a troubled time.
It is utterly disgusting for someone, anyone really, insisting their name go on a memorial tribute facility for a former president who lost his life in his role serving our country. Add to that the fact that the person is Trump, someone who has lied, cheated, shown racism, xenophobia, misogyny and divided our country, someone whose policies resulted in the loss of lives (USAID, ICE, Iran War, etc.), a "man" who uses name calling and story fabrication as part of his daily rhetoric, one who has caused the loss of long-term allied relationships and so much more.
Name a trash facility after him, name a prison after him, name a disease after him, better yet, name laws that prevent all the atrocities he has caused after him which will need to be enacted to ensure nothing of such a plague like him can ever do the heinous things again that he has done. He should be ashamed of himself, but he is incapable of seeing himself as the ignorant buffoon he has always been and the massive embarrassment he is to our country.
With all this tumult going on about the Kennedy Center I have yet to see any news report, or post about members of the Kennedy family speaking up about a young slain president who was, amongst other things was brave enough to confront Khruschev at the time who was attempting to create a Russian base on Cuba. Where are you Kennedys? Don't you want to have the name of JFK preserved instead of washed away by the deranged person who is now president (or maybe one who is continuing to execute his illegal crimes)? If they don't speak up then why should anyone really care about the naming of the center, and what could be its demise at the hands of trump?

Bottom line is that I have not seen any interviews of Kennedy family members on cable news like CNN, FOX, MS NOW, or on any of the traditional news stations. My point was that to most Americans who are staying firm with trump's ideas to destroy the sacred memorial of JFK don't know what the Kennedy's are doing or saying about this which, in my opinion, should be a lot more visible with action than to be reported by minor news sources. His only surviving daughter, Caroline, just lost her own young daughter to illness. I'm sure her grief is insurmountable at this time.
