Both of the Grits remind us that caring people like dogs and dogs like them. They need no other buy-in. Suppose every candidate for public office were vetted by these nonpartisan dogs. We'd get more Carters and no Trumps--right, Grits?
When I think of pit bulls, I think of Ace, a very large, sweet pit bull who followed me home on a walk. I put him inside the fence, as we were close to a five-lane road with a lot of traffic. (We had to move him to the backyard because the mail carrier would not deliver with a large dog in the yard.) We were able to reunite him with his family, parents and five children, even though he was not wearing any ID and had no chip. We advertised on flyers, were called by them, and after they answered questions (Pit Bull Rescue told us to make sure it was the owners not unscrupulous people), we had them come over. He went right to them, then jumped into the backseat of their van.
Be sure that your dog has ID. I recommend Dog ID (made by the Road ID company that also makes human ID) and getting the dog microchipped.

Boy are you right, KKG. Anyone who doesn't have - or even like dogs - should never be allowed to be president.
If they won't let us implement a mental-health test, this would serve well :)
