Quite a list. Totally amazing he remains alive let alone in office. Tomes will be written for decades about him, the failures to stop him, the national and international consequences of his actions, the corruption and venality, how he corrupted systems, organizations, and lives, the people he destroyed and killed, and the long lasting effects of his actions. He’d be thrilled with the impact unaware of the negativity, certainly unmoved. Shameful, terrible, and disgusting only state the obvious.
Thanks for including Canada on your top ten, Norm! We try very hard not to conflate Trump with actual Americans, but it's difficult to watch the clown show and not feel the pain. Still waiting for someone - anyone, besides the courts - to say "No," especially to this illegal and horrific war.
While there's no shortage of his disasters, the one I focus on is Ukraine. Not only is it a humanitarian disaster, but this administration's lack of work on this front, literally, has allowed Russia to do as it wills. And his lack of resistance to Russia is also hampering Middle East situation.
The staggering incompetence of Trump and his clownish administration boggles my mind daily, and if I let it, it would wear me down. He's set us back as a people and a beacon in the world order in so many ways. I hope I live long enough to see the damage mitigated. I don't know if it can ever be totally repaired. This is what happens when people cast a vote without making a candidate earn it. I place the blame for the Trump era on: 1. Lying Fox News. 2. Cheating Mitch McConnell, which began the corrupt SCOTUS, and 3. Complicit Republicans, who have traded their dignity, integrity, and place in history to align themselves with a simpleton who is leading our country off a cliff. I am grateful to Norm, Jen, and The Contrarian team for their positive leadership and willingness to use the courts to fight the total incompetence.
And yet, with this laundry list of offenses, Trump carries on, and Congress doesn't do a damned thing to stop the crush of illegality and insanity. We keep hearing that (fill in the blank) will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. There seems to be no straw heavy enough. We didn't want war, we didn't want the ICE invasion, we didn't want our civilians killed in Minneapolis, - the list goes on. In spite of the legal maneuvering, the "train" continues down the tracks. The future only looks bright if we look many years into it.
At 77, I have fewer, and for the ones that I can, I will continue to hound legislators and attend protests. We refuse to cede our nation to a bunch of vandals.
Thank you for never giving up and fighting for your readers and the country in the courts. You never fail to thank us, but we don't thank you and your team enough for your steadfastness, honor, professionalism, and experience in helping us navigate current times.
Crimes are only failures if they don't succeed. A few of the WH Crime Boss's crimes have failed like the tariffs (so far), but most have been successful by the standards of the WH Criminal in Chief. Most of his crimes have made him feel that his manhood is bigger, and many have made money for him. He also has not, and most likely will not, ever be procecuted & punished for his crimes. His family and Trump Inc will remain extremely wealthy. By his standards (manhood & more money) and those of the criminal accomplices (the MAGA Congress & Heritage Foundation) who support him, his criminal reign of terror has been a tremedous success. Unless he is impeached and convicted AND Trump Inc is destroyed, he will leave office enriched with the things that matter most to him.
Thank you for the list of horribles, Norm. And thank you for all of your ongoing litigation against this assault on the people of the US, and the world-- for Trump's profit.
Ridiculous companies have to sue to recoup their tarrif losses. When the gov't ran to the courts to appeal and win to overturn the stay placed on tarrif collection, didn't they say if they lost they would repay? Don't tell me they actually lied 🤬🙄🤬🙄
1. The magic word is EPSTEIN. Latest revelation is that the Epstein estate paid off a claim against Trump. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/epstein-accountant-spills-bombshell-payout-215837049.html
2. Still waiting for the motions for Thomas and Alito to recuse.....
3. Why no SCOTUS motion to show cause why Trump is not in contempt over tariffs?
“I would catalog Trump’s Top 10 foreign policy failures as the latest entry in our Contrarian Top 10 lists.”
He is a failure. A complete failure as a human being. Somehow, we have elected the worst of us…..TWICE?!
As, the entire world must be thinking, “What an Idiot!” (And, what’s wrong with Americans to elect Utter Garbage like this?!)
I ask myself that everyday.

i focus a great deal on ukraine, as well, because i am of ukrainian heritage. it always raises a big question for me: what does putin have on trump?
Putin is getting his money's worth out of puppet trump.

thank you so much for summing it all up. i agree with you so much.
Actually, Trump is quite competent in what Putin has paid him to do.
(And/or black mailedTrump to do)

And i don't have that many years left.

Thank You for your service, Steve 218.
We fight together.

Thank you Norm for your incredible wide ranging work on behalf of the American people and our rule of law.💔🇺🇸
Amazing list of everything we need to be aware of with this regime. Thank you so much for all you are doing!!
What a hot mess!
Question: If a draft is imposed, can one refuse to go to war on the grounds that it is an illegal war?
