Imagine being locked in a cell with 150 people and only being given a small amount of water every day. This isn't detention, but human rights abuses. Thank you for helping bringing this into the daylight. We as a nation have a long road ahead of us if we want to hold the responsible people accountable and ensure that this never happens again and a crucial part of that journey requires journalists reporting on these abuses with the relentless tenacity that the legacy media has no interest in displaying.
These accounts of horrendous treatment of people by the trump administration are only going to worsen unless harsh reprisals are taken. This is not how we do things in America. ICE and DHS lackeys need to be charged and punished for this inhumanity, especially since it's being done under color of law.
Think of the children just a couple blocks from this ICE facility in Broadview, IL who have repeatedly had to breath the tear gas & hear the pepper guns shoot priests, peaceful protestors & the press in the face, back & torso.
Why do we allow them to create terror in the minds of our children?
Broadview, IL is my hometown, which I visited a month ago for the memorial and interment of a childhood friend. I went into Village Hall to express my appreciation for denying Kristi Noem use of their bathroom so she would be comfortable and fix her makeup for a photo op at the Broadview ICE "processing center".
The Broadview Chief of Police, who is Black, had been subjected to racist comments from ICE. And priests have at least twice been denied access to provide communion to Catholic prisoners. Yet Trump threatens to invade Nigeria to protect "cherished Christians."
These people ICE and CBP are performing criminal acts. Pure and Simple. A nasty prison or detainment facility is a public health hazard and should be condemned and shut down immediately by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Arrests need to be made and these people carted off to prison for human rights violations.
This is so outrageous. The people within the Trump administration who are authorizing these inhumane and criminal conditions need to be held responsible for their crimes. My tax dollars should not be paying for concentration camps.
“Children were inside the day care center when armed agents went in without a warrant, looked through rooms and questioned staff for documentation despite being asked to leave.
“Santillana Galeano had a work permit when she was taken into custody. As of Thursday, she remains in custody at the ICE processing facility in Broadview.”

Yes! Thank you, Contrarians!!

You think the ICE detention facility is filthy?
If you really want to see filth just take a look at the masked filth that inhabitants that facility.
Watch them (trying not to throw up) beating up on women.
Kick kids.
How's that for filth?

"The Department of Homeland Security still claims that Broadview is officially just a “processing center,” "
The nazi's have always claimed that Auschwitz was a camp where workers were concentrated and that Dachau was a center for reeducation.
ICE took a daycare teacher with papers to Broadview yesterday. The violations go on and on.

Worse than we imagined. Why don’t we arrest the American employers who hire undocumented people?
Why do we continue putting up with such cruelty & lies. From Noem? From Bondi? From Patel? From Trump? Why do foreign leaders not laugh at his lies?
Read todays Andy Borowitz and Robert Reich column.
I am confident Trumps day of reckoning is on the way!
Doesn't Chicago have a Department of Licenses and Inspections? Shut. It. Down.
