Great article about these mostly courageous judges. Unlike the fascist six on the McConnell/Roberts court, which will go down in infamy in future history books.

Thank you for putting this in the proper perspective. As the saying goes “statistics can be manipulated to say whatever the interpreter wants”

Great article. Your explanation is heartening. I thank all the brave judges who are standing up to the fascist regime. And thank you Norm, Jen, all the folks at The Contrarian as well as the Democracy Defenders for your great care and courage.

Norm, you are so persistent in your single aim of keeping the court dockets on our radars, and you have done so very much to bring many of these cases to successful resolutions. You are good medicine for my democratic optimism!

I thoroughly agree about "the courage of the individual judges who make up the judiciary, and the resilience of the American legal system. As we head into the second year of Trump’s second term, that should be the headline." This is a bright light in the darkness of this winter's government.

Wow, what a great explanation and what thorough investigation. Very impressive and please accept my thanks.

As the old saying goes: there are lies, damned lies and statistics. Context is everything.

Please provide a tutorial of what a citizen can do if ICE illegally invades your home. The advice I see on-line seems woefully inadequate: don't resist; state that you object to the entry and search; refuse to answer questions without an attorney present. How can ICE be held accountable? Who pays for the damages if they break down the door and trash the home?

So did The Grey Lady cook the books??

Ya can't write bothsides if one side is always wrong, so they give Trump his mulligans frequently.

What the NYT article showed is that the Judiciary is now clearly partisan and no longer neutral arbiters of the law or Constitution. On one side there are all non-tRump appointees and on the other there are the tRump appointees who are clearly pro-unitary executive clones of Justice Scalia.

The Times is an ass.

Thank you so much for addressing this NYT article which left me feeling really discouraged. It is so disappointing that one of the last reputable media outlets is not delivering accurate reporting on such a critical topic.

I loved R. Maddow’s program tonight, outlining all his losses!

Thank you Norm for your thoughtful explanation. I was astounded when I read the NYT article over the weekend, because it just didn’t seem right to me. I’m not a legal beagle but a student of poli sci who wants to understand things. Thanks to you and Jen and your staff, who simply things and really make them relevant!

Excellent article. Norm is my hero.

Thank you, Norm and Joshua, for this very clear explanation of what often feels like swirling fog impeding our understanding of the wins. I'm smiling here in what is intended to be gloom foisted daily upon us by the regime.
