For those interested in apologizing to President Zelensky, as I did, through the Ukraine WDC Embassy, here's the email address: us@mfa.gov.ua.

Watching and being with you and your community is the only way I can tolerate watching this state of the union speech tonight. I already have a headache 🤕

Some Congressional Republicans acknowledge it. The antidote is to impeach the bastards. https://jerryweiss.substack.com/p/to-stop-the-coup-impeach-the-traitor

I don’t think I can watch. Just can’t stomach listening or watching him.

I'll read the transcript.

Are you going to read it in that voice of his? 😂

I understand. I had to stop looking at him a lonnnnnnnnng time ago.

Oh yes. He can’t read either. I’d compare it to a second grader but I don’t want to insult the kids.

I posted this to another Substack but it fits here, too:

I read this (NYT) and my blood ran cold:

“Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is terminating all efforts across the military to reduce civilian harm during combat operations. According to three defense officials, employees at the Civilian Harm Mitigation and Reduction office at the Pentagon were informed Monday that their office will be closed, as will the Civilian Protection Center of Excellence, and all positions at the geographic combatant commands like Central Command and Africa Command that offer advice on limiting the risk to civilians during airstrikes.

The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive policy changes.”

This is very, very bad.

It seems like Trump is ratcheting-up…I can’t really describe my sense of it precisely, but the pace of Trump “things” over the last 3-4 days feel faster and faster. Which has me slightly concerned about…..

The speech tonight.

Trump will have a large audience, in-person and on tv/other media; IF Trump is mentally unraveling, and/or if the evil-brains behind the scenes are executing their attack plans in timed steps the speech is a good time (from their perspective) for a very public milestone. Like an announcement or something…I don’t know but Trump is not one to waste an audience and he and his goons have their positions well-staked out:

Trump, et al. have made a lot of noise with their big entrance into the stage: fired people, ‘deleted agencies, “saved” so much money, “sorted” the media-thing out (AP and White House press pool), and the republicans in congress are all kneeling, they’ve set their position domestically, so to speak.

And, they’ve now kicked off tariffs, banded Ukraine and sided with Putin, disparaged Europe, etc: so, they’ve staked out their position globally over the past week or so.

The courts have done a little damage, but for the most part, the Trump administration has also staked their positions legally as well.

And, thousands (3,000?) more troops on the southern border, JAG gone, top military leaders fired, this NYT announcement by hegseth: it’s pretty clear what the Trump position on what the military is meant for.

It just feels like this is when someone hold up their sword and yells, “Chaaaaaaarge!”

My spidey-sense is tingling and it’s got me on edge. Thoughts anyone? Are you feeling slightly ill going into tonight?

And you're on the receiving end.

Attended rally (angry and loud) of hundreds today at San Antonio's City Hall. Great signs, inspiring speeches, and wonderful people trying to do what they can to save this country from what Stephen King calls "worse than any horror story he's ever written". True - Stephen's blood curdling, terrifying stories are fiction, unfortunately, the hellish nightmare we're in now is real.

I am 82 years old, still working full-time, married to a recent immigrant -- now naturalized, thank God. I am terrified of losing everything I have worked for. Trump is a psychopath and a narcissist plus he is suffering from dementia. (My professional opinion as a forensic neuropsychologist.) His goal, in his rage, is to destroy everybody and everything around him that does not kiss his ass. I am so sick I don't think I can watch any of it tonight. Blessings on you all who still have the energy to fight.

At the end of the piece, who wrote "SEE YOU TONIGHT! Come have fun with ..."? How totally *$#@&^ tone def

Absolutely NOTHING is fun or funny about any of this. Even tho I won't watch it, I am still sick to my stomach because I know what he will do. Just like I was sick all last year knowing he would get in again.
