Senator Booker gave an inspiring speech, punctuated with readings of letters from constituents. That was an excellent move, and he's expressing a rallying cry for Democrats. Hats off to his colleagues who asked questions and provided support.

The Susan Crawford win in Wisconsin indicates that paying for votes was seen as an insult and that voters weren't having it. It looks as if Musk may be losing his punch. It would be still better if Trump would see it that way and throw him and his dogies under the bus. We'd be well rid of the lot of them.

Trump has dropped his hydrogen level, destructive tariff bomb, not just on the US, but on all our world wide trade partners. The negative impact on consumer prices, economic growth, US foreign relations and equity markets cannot be overstated. We are witnessing the beginning of the end of Trump and MAGA.

Thank you for this roundup today. It’s the first day since January 20 that I’ve felt a glimmer of hope. I know there is so much more work to do but today feels good.

I thought what Felony Musk did in Wisconsin was illegal. Is their Supreme Court predominantly Republicans? WHY?

Dunning–Kruger effect doesn’t touch this level of bat shit crazy arrogance & incompetence.

MSM continues platforming of Trump admin blatant lies.

When MAGAs realize how Trump policies screw them: "I blame Biden. He shoulda done a better job explaining how Trump's policies were gonna screw people like me. That's why I'm still MAGA.”

Trump World & CalvinBall: make rules up as you go...

P Krugman: "If you had any hopes that Trump would step back from the (trade war)brink, (Trump's) announcement, between the very high tariff rates and the complete falsehoods about what other countries do, should kill them." https://open.substack.com/pub/paulkrugman/p/trump-goes-crazy-on-trade?r=aexlz&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email

You need to rethink your messaging that opposing Trump's efforts is a "fight for democracy." It's a bad one, as are all "holier than thou" claims. This is a liberal vs conservative fight.

For instance, you (and I) are shocked over Trump's sidestepping of due process in deportations, but it's not "undemocratic" because he's cited laws that allow him to do what he's done. I also think his interpretation of those laws is wrong, but it's not "undemocratic." Harsh enforcement of immigration laws is unsavory but not "undemocratic."

Similarly, a major reduction in the federal workforce is not "undemocratic." Illegal firings and other examples of gross incompetency are...well, illegal but not "undemocratic."

Undermining voting rights is undemocratic. That is a major spoke in Trump’s wheel.
