How in the world will all those thousands of fired Federal employees find new employment in this economy? Will this trigger a recession all by itself?
It’s as if the administration wants PhDs to take on the landscaping jobs that were previously available to immigrants. Scientists lining up for pickup jobs outside of Home Depot? Social workers asking if you want fries with that?
Jen and Norm: In their Town Halls in Republican territory, Rep. Maxwell Frost and Senator Chris Murphy are saying we should not SHAME MAGA, or say "I told you so" over and over again.
What we need to press to MAGA is that **THEIR LEADERS HAVE ABUSED THEIR TRUST.**
That's going to put the blame where it belongs. And it should fall on hearing ears much more than shaming them or "I told you so" or even WAKE UP. And not everyone can be political animals like allot of us--we all enjoy our peace when we have it and like to be able to trust the politicians that we voted for to work FOR US. But the Republicans won't even attend their own states' Town Halls.
Trump's directive to DOJ to investigate ActBlue: This is a prima facie case of malice of forethought coupled with a blatant disregard for legal ethics. Any lawyer involved in this should lose their license.
Dear Contrarian: Thank you for all you do! You are a mainstay in my life and one of the things that keeps me going! My comment is that so much of your material is now video and for me at least, I am not in a situation where I can be listening to or watching videos much of the time. Some of the pieces have transcripts which is great, but not all. Is there a way to add transcripts to the other pieces?
I think all of Norms accomplishments and achievements should be set to music 🎶 🎼🎵🎤🎧I had something in mind such as The Proclaimers (500 miles) Since Norm goes all over the country to promote democracy!!!
For Norm: I don’t have specific names, but I have been on multiple work trips and worked alongside AmeriCorps youth and leaders…they are wonderful. Please protect that program - whatever it takes!
