A Nation’s Memory is Not a Political Weapon by Jeff Nesbitt was so well written and appropriate for today and what’s happening in Washington D. C.. Jen Rubin’s column on Joni Ernst’s senate seat was especially good as well and creates food for thought on all the U.S. Senate races for 2026. No shortage of good writing at The Contrarian.

I subscribe to this substack because I trust, and believe in the people who work for, and write for those of us Americans who still want truth. Could someone please look into the fact that Democrats need a Leader. I believe we are working on delivering another blow to our party if we do not discover a voice for our party...someone we can get to know far prior to the next presidential election. Is it Gavin Newsome? I'm good with almost anyone who can get the job done for a Win by the Democratic Party.

With the FBI. DEA, ATF,

and the National Guard protecting Washington during a “crime emergency”, we now have D.C., U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro allowing people to carry rifles and shotguns in the nation’s capitol. So tell me how this makes any sense??
