Your take on Los Angeles was very good but have a problem with “rage on” making it sound as the city is on fire.you will always have some bad actors as in this case but 90%percent has been peaceful. Only problem is peaceful doesn’t make good news. They kept showing for example the burning of the cars over and over so you would think 100’s were on flames. This is a prime example of trump and no guardrails.
I have an idea to share with our fellow Contrarians. My husband and I are attending our local No Kings rally on Saturday. Our sign will read, "No Kings, YES Liberty and Justice for All". We also plan on taking our American flag, (being that it's also Flag Day). We're hoping there will be many others doing this, and we also hope to (with others) recite the Pledge of Allegiance. As we are allegiant to our country and not a king! We are in CA, and feel that it wouldn't be good optics to arrest those of us carrying our flag and peacefully pledging allegiance to our country!
we are going to the courthouse in Pittsboro NC 11 to 1. I am going to carry a sign urging Governor Stein to declare NC a FREE TRADE ZONE. State's Rights for a noble cause, Mayors can declare their port cities tax free trade zones. Good idea for all coastal state governors.
Trump chose to make protest all about ICE and immigration to keep just on immigration. That is the ground he has chosen to fight on.
That was not the Ground. We chose to fight and we’re absolutely winning on. “No Kings”, meaning protection of democracy and all of our rights and an into the corruption. And “Hands Off”, meaning the protection of all of our laws and all of our components of government from Medicare to Medicaid to Social Security to NIH to all of our research to niosh to NOAA, to all our infrastructure legislation and DEI, and Universities and law abiding undocumented families and much more.
We need to get back to this ASAP and to move off from the place. Trump wants us to be. June 14 is already scheduled as the King’s day and this can reset itself on that day.
