And you can blame all of our lawyers, Congress, local law enforcement, local judicial employees, federal workers, and SCOTUS - all who took an oath to preserve and protect the constitution. And they decided voting party line, accepting bribes and/or being spineless was better for their long term success - THESE FOLK ARE NOT GOOD AT KEEPING THE OATH. Worse is the Senate and House Judicial Committees, SCOTUS, Patel, the FBI.
Barack Obama is one of my favorite presidents. I'm 70 and raised in a red state, red religion, red culture, etc. I voted red until Republicans became a cult of personality in 2016, so I didn't vote for Obama either time, but I'm so proud he was my president. I admire him greatly.
I had to look this up on Wikipedia, since it happened so long ago. The Mouse That Roared is a classic political satire by Leonard Wibberley (famously adapted into a 1959 film starring Peter Sellers). It follows the Duchy of Grand Fenwick, a tiny, bankrupt European nation that devises a plan to declare war on the United States, lose quickly, and reap the massive financial aid and economic rehabilitation that America historically awards to defeated enemies.

considering that an invasion by Trump might have benefits....

He is now robbing the National Park Service to build his arch, and us, actually to build his catering hall, etc. But it all comes down to the fact that America can't afford TRUMP. We are headed for years of paying off the debts he is incuring for us. The Republicans might even rush to use Article 25 before he sinks us all, them included, into a deeper hole.
