I do not understand why the Democrats are the ones keeping the government closed when Speaker Johnson won’t open the House and is not willing to negotiate. All he does is denigrate the Democrats. I think the Republicans in the House should have to return their paychecks since they are refusing to return to work. This is a very frightening time. It seems the Republicans can say and do whatever they want and it’s always the Democrats’ fault. The Republicans can speak out and yell and scream and prevent the people of the United States from having health care and food security.
There is also a lack of safety for everyone in this country, immigrants or not.
Also, by the way, have you noticed that the President only talks about America, not the United States? He is the President of those who support him and bow down to him, but not anyone else.
