Norm - I agree that we need a Nuremberg style approach where we prosecute the worst cases of corruption. But is that has to be done quickly and decisively to restore some semblance of trust in the system
We need to avoid expecting everything to change and be fixed in the first month. We tend to do that and then throw up our hands and withdraw or eat our own immediately. The GOP is patient and thinks longterm about their odious goals, which is why they are where they are. We need to do the same.
Yes indeed. The GOP and its operatives have been building what we have today since Richard Nixon. It will take some time and concerted effort to weed out the corruption that has invaded our system of government. Long-term vigilance and action is indicated.
"who are getting ready to drop the boom should one or both houses of Congress flip." This is a promise on an uncertain outcome. Trump is ready to destroy the midterm election using whatever means avaialble. Another way is to flip the house now by persuading some Repubican members become indepenent and vote along with DEMs.
Thanks to Norman Eisen and The Contrarians for pursuing accountability for many cases in which. the Trump administration has not followed the Constitution or laws that all Americans are meant to follow. Accountability takes time, but also requires dedicated legal representation of the public's interest. Thank you so much.
Great work Norm Eisen…you’ve done more than your share to restore faith in the legal profession. And, it’s important to remember that those who’ve paid Trump or taken actions to fulfill his wishes and gain from it, are also guilty of bribery. Making them accountable is essential to the recovery of the rule of law.
Thank you for all you are doing for democracy! As a senior citizen who was laid off in 2020, I have little money to give out. But I give what little left over money I have gladly to the Contrarian to help save our country!!
Thank you so much for your work and dedication to our great cause, Mr Eisen. It’s an honor to be part of The Contrarian. And no worries … I am hanging on, more fiercely than ever before.
Great work; it's heartening to know that patriots like Norm Eisen are working on behalf of America against those whose only goal is to enrich and empower themselves.
Norm Eisen, please consider a position of power for yourself in the next administration, be it OMB or Chief of Staff, and ask for it. Typically folks will say, “(Latest hero) For President!”, and I think you would make a fine one. Realistically speaking, we need a legal nuts-and-bolts person such as yourself in a position to fix what’s broken. And there’s a lot, he said, preaching to the choir master.
Thank you all for your tremendous democracy saving work. I am more than happy to support your work. You are stopping a tyrannical madman. And we need your help. Plus I love reading your excellent essays. Jen Rubin is one of my faves.
I do SO wish I could be an active participant in all this.

What you’re doing is true patriotism — stopping those out to undermine our democracy.
This “great experiment” depends on people like you, Mr. Eisen, to defend our basic principles. We thank you. We are proud to support you.

It does one good to hear all of the positiveness you bring to all of us!!
Thank you Thank you for all you do and for reporting all you do so nicely in the Contrarian!!
I, and I think many others, feel less hopeless when we read your reporting.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you are doing.
America doesn't want Jesus TV or state media.

Thank you, Norm!
Thank you, Norm, and all the Contrarians for all that you do!
This was all good news on a Saturday morning, Norm. I’m stopping while I’m ahead; no need to read anything else today. Thank you.

Or the obvious: Attorney General of the United States

I hate feeling abed and accurst.
