Katie Britt is a Senator from Alabama who is absolutely clueless about IVF. The costs involved including medical evaluations to determine candidacy for the procedure. The costs of fertility medications and the schedules that must be followed while on the medication and further appointments for more evaluations including egg harvesting and fertilization and finally embryo transfer. A cost is involved in every single step of the process. The hormonal changes and the harvesting process is both physically painful and emotionally challenging. Something that is not always discussed openly.

Miscarriages also occur both by natural impregnation and IVF, yet these @$$holes refuse to acknowledge that very same mediciation for safe abortion is necessary for clearing the uterus of products of conception in order to prevent sepsis. The whole issue with them is nauseating. It should make us all want to hurl.🤮🤢🤮

As far as their website moms.gov they can take it where the sun doesn’t shine.

If it does clear the uterus, it obviates the D&C, a good enough reason for its legality.

I know three women who have had IVF and then got breast cancer. I wonder if there have been any studies on this.

My sister had a college roommate that had IVF and then breast cancer. She has since died despite treatment. She was in her 40’s. So sad. Those fertility meds are likely linked to the incidence of breast cancer. More likely in women who have a susceptibility to the disease in my unvalidated scientific hypothesis.

When women take those hormone medications they are forcing their ovaries to produce eggs at a much accelerated rate than is normal from the many ovarian follicles in their ovaries. So I would imagine the risk of ovarian cancer might increase as well.

I'm sorry to have "liked" the post, but I wanted to acknowledge I have read it and agree there is something they are going to find out about it in the future. It's so sad for your sister's friend. Breaks my heart. I also have a friend whose very dear friend had breast cancer young and her doctor warned her NOT to have children because the hormones during pregnancy could exacerbate her getting a recurrance. She didn't have IVF, but she was desperate to have a baby, got pregnant, and the doctors were correct. It came back with a vengeance, and she died months after giving birth. So with her desire for a child, came the heartache of her never getting to watch her child grow up, and the heartbreak of that child never knowing its mother. (Plus, who knows if she had the BRCA gene and passed it on to her child). This must have been 40 years ago. My mother had breast cancer at 43 when I was 8 and she died when I was 16, so I am sure that influenced my decision to NEVER have a baby, but I was never one of those women desperate to have one in the first place and I have never regretted it. I did not want any child of mine losing me young and going through what I did. I also suffered with menopause for 10 years because I would not take HRT. It's not worth playing Russian Roulette with these hormones. I dealt with the hot flashes (nightmare) but I never wavered. And I totally agree about the ovarian cancer as well. My BFFs daughter went through the whole production of saving her eggs when she was unmarried at 30. The treatments. The retrievals. She did two (maybe 3 rounds) and they only retrieved about 10 eggs. I secretly worry about her. They have made tremendous strides with breast cancer, but almost nothing with ovarian...and to be sure...that one is a deadly, silent killer until it's too late.

Approving flavored vapes is like approving Camel cigarette commercials. Setting up mom.gov with links to Christian Nationalist websites is a violation of the separation of church and state, which I'm sure the six Christian Nationalists on the Supreme Court will approve of if this violation ever gets to court.

As far as Melania is concerned, Melania should be investigated for how she received an Einstein visa and eventual citizenship.

Finally, Alito continues to extent the stay of the 5th Circuit. He's hoping the FDA will issue its report so the six Christian Nationalists on the Supreme Court won't have to take the case and they can say: see the FDA has reversed its decision, so the 5th Circuit was correct in its decision. Unfortunately for Alito, the GOP has said the FDA report can't be released until after the election or we're really screwed.

I don’t believe it was an Einstein visa Ms. Knauss got. It was an Epstein visa. Sorry to quibble . . .

100%. No quibble from me. And she wrote an article 😂😂😂😂😂

"Trump talked up U.S. Rep. Katie Britt (R-AL): “I shouldn’t admit this, but the first time I really heard about the fertility was the Katie. She said, ‘Sir, we have to do something.’ And I’m a quick study. So, I learned everything there is to learn in about three, four minutes, and I became the father of fertility.”

I just can't with this demented lunatic anymore. I wonder how many abortions he paid for in his lifetime. He learned everything known to medical mankind in 3-4 minutes? . What a " stable genius". "Sir, " you belong in a straight jacket shot full of thorazine for the rest of your miserable days. I wish we could sue Oprah for unleashing those two scam artists, Dr. Oz (under-babied? What he didn't say was WHITE under-babied.) and Dr. Phil on our country. Dr. Oz should have his medical license revoked.

Regarding the vaping. FYI...I am a member of a lung cancer screening program at a major hospital. The first two questions they asked were did I smoke and did I vape. I grew up with two heavy smokers as parents. Cigarette ads in every magazine. All day long in every tv show (they were all sponsors) as well as everybody smoking and drinking in every episode.. And of course in the old movies I love. Practically everyone died of cancer. I remember when the Marlboro Man died of cancer. The TV ads from famous actors like Yul Brynner in the late 60s or very early 70s telling people to quit smoking while they were dying of lung cancer. The major warnings put on the cigarette packs. My old doctor, a rabid anti-smoker, had ashtrays in his office and a.receptionist you couldn't see through the haze of her cigarette smoke. My beloved doctor died of lung cancer from second hand smoke..50 years trying to tell people how deadly smoking is, but sure...Dr. Donnie got paid enough, so flavored vapes all around for everyone...but don't go looking for testing or treatments paid by your healthcare (if you have it) when you get lung cancer from it. . Vaping is just as bad, if not worse than cigarettes. Is there no one brave enough enough to step up and put and end to this madness?

These maga, supreme criminals, sycophant morons are a cancer on our society and particularly on our children. And utterly embarrassing. Dumb, dumber, and dumbest! Get out and vote us back to sanity.

This administration is lead by a POTUS who defies reasonableness. Most men adore their women and are concerned for their health and well being - the white MALE supremacists of MAGA are a very small minority. And their women are really dumb
