Cecilia Wang was calm, assured, brilliant and occasionally even funny — when idiots gave her the opportunity to be so. Just what you would want to see in a winning oral presentation delivered with skill and aplomb.
As for Klaus Bondi and her demented boss, my hearts bleeds for them the way it did when those two velociraptors started ripping each other’s flesh apart in Jurassic Park.
Thank you for the birds-eye view of the soap opera that has been deadly for way too many of us. I'm very glad for your ongoing work for justice and accountability!
Thank you, Norm, for your honesty and deep integrity in everything you do. As I read your Publisher’s Notes each week, I hear your voice in each sentence.
Enjoy the remaining days of Passover and Shabbat Shalom.
The fact that two or three members of the US Supreme Court in 2026 can read the Constitution and say "Nope, we don't like it." is one of this century's most disgraceful acts.
Many Many thaks to Norm et al for your incredible efforts.
What stood out to me in the main essay here: Norm: "As I explained at a rally after the argument, Wednesday was the culmination of years of planning that began even months before Trump was reelected in 2024. This planning was the reason that Democracy Defenders Fund and our partners were able to act immediately... ." If only the Democratic Party had this foresight and industriousness to PREPARE. To prepare for future horrors, future attempts to gut our Constitutional rights, etc. To hit the ground running. To act immediately. If only...
It give me some satisfaction that the scumbag president fired this two vampires, Bondi and Noem but it would make me very happy if in an act of revenge, he fires himself....😝
I am too, but what irks me is that my tax dollars are going to support my government which is litigating this on my behalf to strip people of their rights. Trump can make these ridiculous proclamations, clog up the legal system, and I get to pay for it instead of something like real legal work. The Supreme Court has a limited docket so I'm not sure why they even took this case.
I don't recall the history, there have been so many of these unconstitutional proclamations that are contested. Some were upheld via the SC shadow docket until they made their way to the SC for arguments. Others have been struck down by lower courts and appealed to the SC by the regime. If this case is the latter then they could have let it stand and moved on I guess, but I'm not a lawyer.
Even for a retired American history teacher and veteran (US Army 1967-71) keeping track of the multi-tentacled depredations of this administration is a challenge, but it is encouraging to hear in some detail about some of ways in which those depredations are being faced and fought.
One hopes Mr Eisen and others are correct about the outcome of this case, although any optimism is seriously tempered by the fact that we very likely wouldn’t be here now were it not for the this same court’s disastrous decision in Trump v USA last summer.
Yet at the same time, it is also true that it took Trump 2.0, made all too possible by that decision, to finally arouse an increasing number of Americans of all ages and stripes to realize just how fragile our Republic is, and that for all the legal and Constitutional guardrails we imagined stood in the way of this demented old autocrat and his cohort of sycophants, election-deniers, barn-burners, liars, vengeance seekers, religious nuts, health cranks, Russophiles, security risks, and drunks, the only guardrail that really matters is the original, We the People. Come November, we have the chance to prove that guardrail sufficient.
Most heartening, perhaps is the great rise in independent media like The Constrarian and others who are making their stand and enabling so many of the rest of us to keep track of all those depredations in the face of the onslaught of lies promulgated by those who support Trump and his attempts to become a tinpot dictator, destroy the postwar order, decimate our economy, wreak vengeance on his opponents, and utterly degrade our political discourse.
As I’ve noted before in this and other areas, Trump is the greetest gift we could have been given. For far too long, we had become increasingly complacent about our Republic, imagining that despite the tumults of the sixties and early seventies and the rise of the autocratic right, America was impervious to all the right wing movements happening abroad. Now we understand that yes, it can happen here unless We the People do something about it.

1. why was Lutnick there?
2. did Bondi stay for the whole thing and get her own ride back, or did she ride back with Trump's entourage? did he just leave her there, like an ex?
Don't leave us hanging.
And did she find out by tweet?
Remember he fired his first Secretary of State by text when he was using the toilet.
I wish i could unsee this image..
Did he say, “You’re Flushed!”
Now you know what to say when he says, “Hold my phone!”
I'm sure she'd have preferred to find out by tweet, rather than on a car ride in close quarters with the gröpenführer.
I believe he told her in the car on the way over. I read that yesterday.
He’s usually not that brave to address someone directly.
From this article: "We now know that she had just been fired in the car ride over with the president."
I hope Bondi is disbarred.
Thanks for all you do.
Can we still do that tar and feathers thing?
I'm hoping for the trial and jail thing !
LOL
I'm counting on that.

It's ridiculous that SCOTUS even agreed to take up this case, but at least it seems it's going to be settled correctly.
That's what I had thought initially, but it has since occurred to me that perhaps they wanted to smack this idea down permanently.
not over yet...

Norm and Team - a HUGE THANK YOU for your ceaseless work on behalf of THE PEOPLE.
The best way to control Trump and sycophants is to vote as many Republicans out of office as possible.
Vote for these Democrats for the Senate:
ILL: Juliana Stratton, MI: Mallory McMorrow, FL: Alex Vindman, GA: John Ossoff, NC: Roy Cooper,
TX: James Talarico, AK: Mary Peltola, IA: The Democrat, ME: The Democrat.
If the Democrats win a few, they will gain control of the Senate and Chuck Schumer will leader!!!
Sherrod Brown - OH
Chuck Schumer or someone younger, more aggressive, and more in touch with the 21st century.
or if not that, at least buy Chuck a new desk. The letters I get from the present desk; "from the desk of Chuch Shumer" tend to be idiotic.
this is funny. thanks !
So proud to be a part of this community!
Thank God for you, Norm, and Jen, and all your efforts. Great piece.
May this latest mad tyrant be passed over like the one back in Egypt!!!!!

Donna, Molly Jong-Fast agrees with you and has an ongoing "Project 2029" series on YouTube.
Thanks, Susan. I hear her on MSNOW a lot but am not familiar with her youtube series. Will check it out.

That's up to the Republicans. They are complicit in all of his corruption, wars, and pedophile protections.
I won't put a single egg in that basket. It's the MAGA party now. They just keep the old name that make all of them RINO. Thanks for your reply 👍
Proud to be a Financial Supporter of you at this devastating, horrific, criminal [government]historic time

Good thing they did… for thousands (millions?) of our population (INCLUDING MOST OF DONALD DRUMPT’s CHILDREN!!!!)!!!!
