I actually hope Paxton wins his primary. Even Texans are tired of the corruption. Paxton's winning his primary will provide a greater chance whoever wins the Democratic Primary will win the election. I hope the whole (with a "W") gerrymandering in Texas backfires on Greg Abbott. It would be hilarious if Texas lost more seats than the clowns thought they would gain through gerrymandering.

I agree. The downside risk, of course, is that Paxton could win the general election and we're stuck with him as a senator. But considering the extent to which Cornyn has crawled up Trump's ass in the past two years, I actually doubt there would be any significant difference in the way that Paxton and Cornyn would vote anymore. Whatever little integrity Cornyn may once have possessed has been sacrificed on the altar of Trump worship, and Paxton never had any integrity in the first place.

This Texan is only agreeing with the part about Cornyn.

Be careful what you wish for. Regardless of who Republicans nominate, Democratic chances hinge on them nominating a candidate who can actually win statewide. *If* they do that, then I agree that Paxton would be the easiest Republican to beat. But as it stands right now that's a big if.

An abysmal report on how corrupt all of politics are in Texas.

Just thinking of having an affair with this criminal makes me shudder, ewwwwwwww! Have these women LOOKED at him? He is so butt ugly.

Never underestimate the power of money & power as aphrodisiacs.😉

This was a great article, thank you! Jaw dropping corruption wherever you look. It’s so depressing that this lunatic grifter, liar and cheat is not stopped dead in his tracks! Just like Trump and his cronies…slick and vile to the hilt! GROSS 🤮!!!

I too hope Paxton wins. He is the only politician I can think of in the moment who is as blatantly corrupt as Trump. Birds of a feather…

An "impressive" list leading me to one question:

Is this Paxton chap an illegitimate lovechild of the orange-faced pedo protector-in-chief?

I seem to recognize a character trait.

Paxton is emulating Trump in his Teflon coating. About the only hope is that if he wins the primary election that enough people are tired enough of his criminality that they will vote for a Democrat in the general election. Bear in mind that people have voted against their best interests for years, so we will have to wait and see how it all plays out. At least he won't be the state's AG any more.

He is a nauseating piece of work 🤮

Sad to say, but this seems to be a portrait of most elected officials in the US. Change the names and slightly alter the facts and it's all the same. It's no wonder a huge number of Americans no longer believe in our government's ability to govern.
