These federal thugs are acting against state law. Pushing people to the ground, confining them without due process, and considering a kid's Halloweeen activity worthy of deploying tear gas is untenable and illegal. So saying, they should be arrested by our state and local police, and charged with the same crimes that we, as residents of the state of Illinois would be charged with were we to do the same things. Let's see some equality in justice served up. BTW, Trump would have a hard time twisting state legal actions as he has done on a federal level.
Steve, I asked the question in Ai: "State and local police are constrained by legal and jurisdictional boundaries and cannot unilaterally arrest federal agents. Instead, the State is using legal and documentation-based strategies to address the allegations of abuse by federal agents." Doesn't seem right, huh? Changes are needed here too.
Well, the line "with liberty and justice for all" in the Pledge of Allegiance seems to have developed a different meaning. Wonder who created those 'legal and jurisdictional boundaries' and why they are deemed necessary?
Questions: How could a children's halloween parade or trick-or-treating be regarded as a riot or disorder or protest requiring any sort of law enforcement action? Why would tear gas be required? I do not get it.
Bovino is a strutting little sadist working for a lawless administration, and empowered by Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller to inflict maximum cruelty on his targets, including the innocent, including US citizens, including journalists and priests, including children.
Tear gas isn't required. The ICE agents are firing it at people because they like to: and because they can.
The DoD rapist frat boy in charge will not let go of a priority for the military that easily. That’s where his power lies and he’s nothing if not a power hungry super stupid sex pest. Wouldn’t it be interesting / horrifying if there is a turf war at the top?
The legal action in the court and the substantial video record are working against DHS. Likely, they return in the warmer weather. The recent snowstorm also may have sped up their move to a less wintry location. I know that sounds small, but winter weather does make their tactics more challenging. They were targeting construction and lawn care workers because they are outside. Additionally, the horrific abduction of an early child care provider & pepper-spraying a very small child was growing anger against DHS as well as substantial organizing & documenting of DHS action that is being used in court, also putting pressure on DHS.
"Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin insists, 'we aren’t leaving Chicago,' but the feds’ immigration campaign is expected to begin winding down. However, one DHS source said 1,000 agents could return in the spring, up from 250 now."
“Whether the orders are follows remains to be seen.”
Why do people say this as if judges’ orders don’t matter anymore? This is unAmerican. Can we sue Kristi Noem as an individual for allowing these human rights violations? It seems there should be some other resort than just waiting to see if they will follow orders.

Americans deserve better.

Sadists - people who ENJOY enacting cruelty against others, ANY others, just for fun.
