The Opening Housing Summer! I remember it well! In the summer of 1966, Dr. King and Chicago activists gathered each day at Buckingham Fountain downtown in Grant Park and walked to Mayor Daley's house in Bridgeport to deliver a Bible and a list of demands. He would not meet with them so each day they gave them to his security guard. He called them all "outside agitators" and dismissed their demands.

I like the organized parties to encourage turnout but I think we should organize at every polling location nationwide in November for protection. If everyone went to vote and stayed we’d have numbers to help protect those being scared away. There is power in numbers. We can protect our neighbors just by being present with phones ready. We can make it a party too but the important part is numbers to overshadow any attempt by the Administration to send their thugs to intimidate
