Such good news.for at least a year. Thank you Norm, fhe AGs, the Unions, and everybody behind this. Let's also not forget how important this is to keep SAUDI MONEY (I think it may have been billions) out of our MEDIA, telling us what we can and cannot watch and hear as they are investors which in the past would have been a "no go". Sure, slam planes.into the World Trade Center, expect us to give you nuclear weapons, and our media, news and entertainment? No, I don't think so. Stay in yoir own lane with Elon at Twitter...They should NEVER BE ALLOWED to own our airwaves. And lastly, from an unbelievably selfish point of view, thank you for hopefully keeping Turner Classics Movies alive for another year. Film history is such an important part of our culture and my life. 🙏 And of course...HBO!!! (Let's see how quickly Dozy Donnie appears on CNN again raving to Jake Tapper how he expects good.things happening at CNN. 😂😂😂Especially because they won't be owned by the Ellisons for the mid-terms).
A lot can happen in a year (good and bad). I'm feeling like we got a.reprieve, some breathing room.for a little while. This is people's lives and jobs on the line. Aside from this disaster of.combining businesses which means the loss of duplicate jobs, , we have the looming disaster of AI. They won't need set builders (they'll just use green screen and fake backgrounds) set decorators,.voice actors,.extras, so many jobs you never think about unless you watch the actual credits of a movie and see how many people make a film happen. There's already an AI movie with an AI "star" named."Tillie Norwood". That should make people very nervous.
I'm so sorry. The one thing they can't take from you is your mind and your imagination. I have the utmost respect for writers and creative people since I am neither. I'm an old timer, so I grew up in the early days watching a lot of science fiction become science fact (everything I needed to learn about life and humanity was from "The Twilight Zone") but even I could not imagine this future with a bunch of James Bond villains that even Ian Fleming himself could not have dreamed up.
I know they've been making changes to Substack (I hate the app so I use it from the web) and the other day I was looking around the controls on the top right of the page as I write from my tablet, and noticed a feature "Scan with AI" so I clicked on it to see what it does. . It will " read" the post and tell you if any of it is written by AI. SUBSTACK! FOR WRITERS! WTF! Nothing is safe from this disaster they have created.
Boycott CBS and Paramount!!!!
I haven’t watched CBS since they cancelled Colbert(with the exception of his show). I will never watch again…
GREAT! Another loss for the orange convicted felon. How does all that winning feel, FF?

Woohoo!!! I don’t know when you sleep, Norm. You must have a zillion clerks and paralegals - thank goodness for you and your whole team!
Yay!
Good, but we'll need to see what next year brings.

As a writer, I'm already wrapped up in creating my own doom. It's nuts.
