A president who seeks to make money unlawfully especially without disclosing how or where it came from should be prosecuted and or impeached. The same even if lawfully but without disclosure.
I remember the hopes of the 60s and early 70s, when we thought Yes! Our country is finally going in the direction that will make it a "shining city on the hill." We were far from perfect, but we were getting better. Sometimes, I can't even listen to old music from those times, because songs like "The Times, They Are A'Changing," can reduce me to tears.
When I was a little girl, we learned in school that we were a "melting pot." Our motto was e pluribus unam. Brotherhood was what we were aiming for. Now, children in OK are learning that the 2020 Presidential election was "stolen." Our government is anti any kind of "melting pot," because they are just waiting to start shouting, "Blood and soil," and getting rid of "useless eaters." The all encompassing drive is Greed.

Extortion is such a defining Trump trait that it was the centerpiece of a recent instantly legendary South Park episode. In the show, the president threatens the small town with a massive lawsuit, forcing its leaders into a multi-million-dollar settlement. The profane and hilarious episode reminded me that ridicule can be a powerful weapon against dictatorial leaders.

Thank you for this important interview, Jen and your guest, Michael Beckel. . How I hope we can end Citizens United and dark money plus all donations which are made with the goal of personal gain. I especially like the idea which Michel Becker shared about making acceptance of such money illegal. It seems that whatever new laws or rules suggested should be thoroughly examined in order to prevent any path around them being taken for continued profit, and personal gain.
Whatever the “what, me worry” response/rationalization of Citizens United was, the new reality, corruption, became “the feature and not a bug.” Corruption, as an institution, has no self-limiting propensities. Indeed, every new fresh outrage engenders greater expansion and weary acceptance of the once unthinkable.
What is the recourse to stop this? I think Article 25 is something we all need to embrace. Money talks. So does the citizenry. It is up to us to organize and demand impeachment.

American and have a leader who cared about all of us. I truly pray we again can
