Here's another question: How did the NYTimes even publish this? Doesn't it fit with them profiling two hacks of Fox News in the last few weeks, Dana Perino, and Greg Gutfeld? I'm think that Rupert Murdoch has secretly bought the Paper of Record. It's so insulting and yet they thought it was ok? Meanwhile the old man in the White House (what's left of it) is bulldozing democracy, and everything else, Hegseth is bombing random boats in the Caribbean, but WOMEN are the problem???

The writer should have noted that this idea (feminism ruining things) was making the rounds before Douthat put his foot in it. It's bigger than a headline or article in the NYT. Is this the next attack on "woke" ideology. Get DEI out of the way, what's next to attack for the right wing? We already know they are ramping up attacks on abortion rights.

Ross Douthat is execrable. A true heir of William F. Buckley without even Buckley's obnoxious aristocratic politesse.

Ross probably wants to being back witch trials for uppity women.

I guessed it correctly this time around. So many guys just can’t stand it when a woman outshines them. Especially in the workplace or academia. In my small hometown girls are outperforming boys in mathematics, science and technology.

I understand that some newspapers publish "different" points of view for the sake of neutrality or for the sake of pointing at opposing opinions.

But from that to publishing the 18th century belch from douthat is all bridges of the world to far.

Douthat always writes the same shit.

Here are his topics (per "opinion" disguised under a bunch of fancy words, decorated with the thinkings of obscure philosophers and a lot of quotes taken out of context):

All things right are good.

All things left are evil.

His kind of believing in a god is good.

All other kinds of believing in a god are bad, being an atheist is the worst.

Woman must make many (white) babies.

I keep seeing comments about this headline, and it's revisions, but could not bring myself to read the actual article.

IMO, the sad truth (at least for men) is that women improved the workplace, bringing to it higher productivity and logic. I have worked in numerous office situations and am just stunned by some people's lack of common sense…

This is fromThe Wrap:

The New York Times Ridiculed for ‘Did Women Ruin the Workplace?’ Op-Ed: ‘Are You Kidding Me?’

“Having skimmed the article, I feel confident saying that if you’re a woman, you’re allowed to cyberbully Ross Douthat,” Vanity Fair’s Hillary Busis responds here:

Thank you for the link to The Wrap item. Reader comments on that are excellent as well.

Ross Douthat is a baby man. Always blame those annoying women.

My niece canceled her subscription because of this headline, and she started a text conversation with many family members about it. Most of them chimed in. Douthat helped bring us together around the rejection of his odious theme. We’re not the kind of family that comes together very often, either in person or by electronic communication, so good things came out of the headline. The content really didn’t matter, and my niece was most upset about the editorial decision to use the headline. The NYTIMES is not the progressive democratic force we imagine it to be. The sooner we see that, the better. Thanks for this takedown. Well done. I shared it on the text chain.

There's no such thing as conservative feminism.

Authoritarian's and their apologists can never afford to run out of groups to marginalize or disparage since that would eliminate their reason for existing.
