"Minnella pointed to Reps. Laura Gillen in NY-04 and Josh Riley in NY-19 as incumbents in danger because of their districts’ frustration with Democrats."

Where is the frustration of Republicans with their fellow members when they continue to support wife beater Max Miller, and Nazi sympathizers Mike Collins and Mike Rogers? Where is their frustration with their governors who cut food assistance, healthcare, and let big corporations build data centers all over their states against local opposition sky high electric bills and to the water theft and the noise pollution and covering the neighborhoods with toxic pollution? Where is the frustration with the never ending corruption done by their governors like White Boots DeSantis when he and Casey stole TEN MILLION DOLLARS from the Floridians who need Medicaid?

The Dems have some issues, but they pale in comparison to the corruption, mismanagement, bigotry, fraud, and spouse abuse by the Republican candidates and state governments, and their slavish servitude to the most corrupt and incompetent White House in American history. A failing regime that got us into a quagmire war, gutted healthcare, murdered US citizens in the streets, and piled on trillions of debt so billionaires could have another yacht or another private corporate jet.

The Dems need to go on offense against the degenerate MAGA Republicans.

Your last line is the important one. This article has a bit of tone of hand wringing too many 'moderate' Dems are very experienced at doing. TIme to set the narrative and be bold about it.

Dems need to stop bringing a sternly worded letter to a gunfight.

'Republicans may see a further bump in turnout from ballot measures on wealth taxes and the participation of transgender girls or women in sports.'

Well then it's up to those Democrats to explain that - there are like 4 transgender girls playing in sports teams, and it's a non-issue that only the GOP cares about and will not impact most voter's lives at all in any way, and - a 'wealth tax' by definition, will not only not impact 99% of these voters, it will actually help them by paying for needed services.

Republicans are going to Republican.

Is her real name Gluesenkamp-Fetterman or is it Gluesenkamp-Manchin? I'd almost prefer as Republican because at least you'd know for sure not to depend on them

I'm disappointed that the story was about red districts in blue states. I live in a red state, and I was hoping to hear about the races Democratic candidates here are valiantly running.

State taxes aren't why everyone is paying more for gas and diesel. All the biggest problems faced by rural communities - destroyed export markets, shredded SNAP and other food programs further decimating farm commodity prices, the limited, expensive fertilizer and high gas and diesel prices caused by Trump's Iran war, the loss of workers caused by ICE, Medicaid and ACA cuts causing the closing of rural hospitals and health centers - have been caused by Republicans. Red district Democrats need to make THAT clear, and not apologize.

She is not a democrat—just pretends to be so she won’t have to primary against Joe Kemp. She is a fraud pure and simple!!!

Thanks. We need to hear this.
