I've been donating to SPLC for over a decade. There is no fraud here. They were open about their use of informants and the FBI has partnered with them for years. As a donor, I'm ready to double down on the money I donate. We need their work more than ever and I don't know how else anybody gets information on a dangerous and violent group without undercover informants.
It is a great comfort to read all these comments, from such esteemed organizations & individuals in response to this clear SLAPP litigation in an attempt to silence the SPLC! It hit me hard when I learned this news yesterday. And yet, there is no way any of us could be surprised. Trump is PROUD that all the HATE GROUPS, brought out into the BRIGHT 🌞 sunshine created by SPLC, are his most fervent supporters. The SPLC has been in the cross-hairs of these bestial groups for decades. This will backfire for Trump. No matter how much these hate-filled Ku-Klux-Klan, Neo-Confederates, Incels, Neo-Facists, Anarchist, members might celebrate this event - WE KNOW they are small in # compared to the population of Americans who are repulsed by their ideas and values. This indictment makes it eminently clear who Trump stand with - there's no hiding or denial anymore.
Let's be clear. #47's Administration is emptying our pockets -- first, by forcing the liberal/progressive nonprofits we support to spend the money we donate to defend themselves and secondly, by using tax payer dollars to initiate lawsuits. So, #47's cronies are screwing us by double-dipping!
If the SPLC is being indicted by the nation's corrupt justice department (no caps intentional) they must be doing something very good and effective. Carry on and fight the good fight.
Let's face it, Blanche & Patel sold their souls to Trump. As discussed in a recent Substack piece by Joyce Vance, the legal allegations against SPLC are wrongheaded & deficient in so many ways. One of the easy clues is that only the SPLC firm was named and no individuals. To look at the matter from a darker "weaponization of DoJ" political perspective, it appears to me that the corrupt DoJ leadership is trying to serve up red meat to its radical white supremist Trump voters (ie the Nick Fuentes types) who have deplored SPLC civil rights & legal advocacy work (often in support of FBI) for decades.
This action by the DO_J is extremely damaging to our rule of law and the future of civil rights in America. Thank you Contrarians for this most appalling and shameful action by our DO_whatever.
