I respect any artist, male or female, who steps up to defend their work. It's THEIRS and they have a right to say how it can be used. It's copyright infringement. It's illegal. She owns the rights to her art. Copyright in the US lasts for the creator's life plus 70 years for works after 1978. She said it because her copyright has been violated. There isn't a bigger bully in America than Mango Mussolini.
