Reminded me to check on the status of the case against Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan. Suspended as a judge, indicted by a grand jury, denied dismissal on grounds of judicial immunity, to be tried in December. All because she didn't give into bully ICE agents trying to disrupt her courtroom.
As you write, the threat of prosecution is the point.
And the reason I checked on this case is because I was embarrassed to have forgotten about her. Also ashamed to think that I might not have had the courage to do what Judge Dugan did.

An impeachment after the 2026 election beginning in 2027 would mean a faster criminal conviction if this ever becomes possible to do but a number of things must happen first. Democrats must take back both Houses of Congress. They need a substantial majority but some GOP members may join in if the articles of impeachment are very strong and compelling for them to vote in favor of impeachment. The House needs a simple majority for one or more articles of impeachment and the Senate needs 67 votes to convict him on the articles of impeachment that’s being levied against him. 67 for the Senate and 219 for the House. For this to happen Democrats will have to campaign in red states and make their cases not just the blue states. This will not be easy but if they are willing to fight and work hard now and majorly over perform even in the red states this could lead to their victories in 2028 as well as ousting the orange felon. Make your case Democrats! Make these Republicans have to fight to keep their seats and expose them for the liars and racists they are but they must also make it about integrity as well.
