I agree with what Adam has to say, but please, let's dump the boiling frog story. Frogs are smart enough to jump out of the water as it warms. The question remains, are humans smart enough to jump out of the authoritarian water before we are a total police state?
As a pro- (small "d") democracy coalition, we are stronger together when we play to our personal strengths. All of the leaders resisting the hostile takeover have their own style and focus. What they have in common is speaking uncomfortable truths from personal experience. This makes it impossible for Thiel's, Vought's, and Miller's puppets to stage credible backing for any of their post-Constitutional narratives to stick.
Given that between the DOGE Bros, the random, stupid firings (and shortly thereafter oopsie! rehires), the the illegal claw backs of $ billions followed by recissions, the decimation of the NIH, FDA, CDC, NSF, EPA, CFPB, IRS, OSHA, NOAA, NASA, NPS, CFPB, and the perversion of the DHS into the FSB, with ICE acting as straight-up masked Gestapo thugs, almost none of the parts of the federal government that actually help people were functioning BEFORE the shut down, so I think that's why this one isn't hitting as hard (yet).
I hope America is more than just a little fed up over Trump sending military troops and the National Guard into states to rile up the people there, Adam and Jen. And completely fed up with Trump's constant lies and power grabs. I wish the Congress would get rid of the sorry excuse for a president and instead support a president faithful to the Constitution and Rule of Law to work for all of the American people, not just those with silver and gold spoons.

What counts as a crime depends on who defines crime. If we had troops on every square foot of America, we would still have the Epstein files.
