It does occur to me that ordinary Americans are the ones carrying out the orders to arrest a judge, detain immigrants without due process, etc. I know it is asking for a lot of bravery, but they too can make choices and refuse to carry out these evil orders.
I am very heartened that "D.C. District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, a Clinton-appointee, prevented the government from implementing a crucial part of a Trump executive order that attacked voting rights, ruling that the Constitution entrusts Congress and the states β not the President β with the authority to regulate federal elections." The only real power we have is elections, so we can vote out and vote in.
For whatever the "who appointed which judge to the Bench" tally may be worth, Judge Kollar-Kotelly can actually be listed in both the (R) and (D) columns. The District of Columbia is a judicial unicorn, as its "state" level judges are also appointed by the sitting President. C K-K was named to the D.C. Superior Court by Ronald Reagan in 1984, and then to the federal D.C. District Court by Bill Clinton a decade later.
[I've had the honor of knowing her as a judge for 40 years, having appeared before her in both courts. IMHO she is a straight shooter, as knowledgeable and honorable and unbiased as they come.]
So the courts rule against them and they start arresting the judges! I'm with Jonathan, it's time to fight like hell. Will the military murder us all in the streets for resisting?
Why do we think heβll follow the law? He wonβt, he just wants to make it serve him and that what heβs doing. All the media coverage, that is mostly incomplete covering, all the talk here, and the 1,000βs of protests do nothing to stop him. Canβt anyone sue him for malfeasance?
US citizen Children have been deported with parents. When did we the people with our tax dollars pay for ICE illegal acts and lazy GOP congress salaries?
The most corrupt, cruel, chaotic president in history. Where is Congress? Has olding onto their seats, apparentlyβ¦until they make a misstep. Then theyβre gone, too. See if they can get a job in the real world especially when thereβll be no jobs! Judie
Itβs frequently mentioned at the street corner protests throughout the week but itβs being ignored by the local media. We have a life sized cardboard cutout that we trot out to each activity. We video people pretending to ask him questions which are posted to the local Indivisible facebook page. He continues to hide and doesnβt engage. Two-thirds to three quarters of voters here are republicants so little traction is gained.
Maybe the courts are doing their job, but now the administration is arresting judges. So how do we react to that???? π‘π€¬π‘π€¬
WE HAVE GOT TO FIGHT HARDER PEOPLE!!! WE CANNOT LEAVE THIS TO THE COURTS TO HANDLE!!
We have to get out there and fight like hell !!! βπΌπππΌ

Thank you for the information. She sounds great.
It will take 2/3 of congress both houses to impeach him to stop the lawlessness. Extreme pressure from constituents for them to do their duty or else.

What has to happen to take him down?

Where oh where is Congress these days?
In north Alabama, District 5 Congressman has gone to ground and hiding from the public.
Are his constituents pleased or outraged ... or have they noticed?

You do good work -- thank you!
This particular post made me breathe just a little easier. Thanks. ππ»ππ»ππ»
