Thanks for running this column, The Contrarian. The media's pseudo-omniscience is a big part of the problem! Hear more from the interview in Episode 111, Moderation Mandate. And share thoughts, questions, etc. over at https://theystandcorrected.substack.com/

Polling is only a snapshot of time. What happens in 6 months is a different story. Our 2017 senate race in Alabama is a prime example.

JUST VOTE, NO MATTER WHAT!

Trump doesn’t care if his ‘proclamations’ are true … if it ‘sounds good’ in the moment, he’ll go with it, there are rarely consequences … for now. I suspect he believes himself to be ‘teflon’ just as long as he needs to be : great amounts of money, connections & his bunker will ‘keep him safe’.

And when the guy with the scythe comes for him he’ll have succeeded in a lifetime of escapes from (most) consequences. With this in mind he continues to build himself monuments to his greatness … that will likely be destroyed! 😆

— the only justice he won’t escape will be from the Creator.

Thank you for bringing up the ever-present discussion and misdirection of the "democrats are in dissarry" from: infighting; the status quo; the socialists, the left..etc.

More importantly I have heard no coverage of the (at least) 2 poll "services" that, when asked why their polls were so wrong replied that they MADE THE NUMBERS up, as an EXPERIMENT in determining how polls effect the outcomes of elections. I read a brief report of this, and then it disappeared.

Why is this not being covered in CAPITAL LETTERS? Interference from foreign countries? No disruption from within, even more insidious. If fact checking is needed every time Trump and Company speaks; then isn't it also incumbent that the media reports valid, reliable information and checks its sources. How many times have we heard that "we have not verified this report or quote".

Obviously, not enough times....

Thanks for a hearty dose of reality!! And thanks for the quote, ‘Make stupidity embarrassing again.’ I hadn't heard it before and it is so fitting for these times we are living in!! If only we could make it so with a single expansive whisk of the wand!

It is viable to get news and to learn about politics. Just like any knowledge, the user has to decide what is factual, or not.
