Great commentary, Jennifer, but is anyone going to change their behavior? I find it especially galling that so many women continue to be on the side of and vote for these racist misogynists.

They will never vote for any woman who steps out of her husband's shadow to be her own powerful person (Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris), even if the woman is 1,000 times smarter than the man.

The ones who have been named in the files should be held to the same standards as anyone else who knew what Epstein was doing. A morally upright person would have called the police or the FBI regardless of who they are. So you’re right Jennifer. With so many young girls and women around how could they have not known?

Look at that picture of Pam Bondi. Those are the eyes of a woman who has sold her soul, and may be starting to realize, too late, that it wasn’t worth it.

You're kind. I don't think Pam Bondi ever had integrity or a soul. She wants access to power and money, just as thr people who maintained relationships with Epstein wanted access to gifts, dinners, connections to other "important people".

This is so poignant against the backdrop of the congressional oversight hearings today with Pam Bondi. I don't see accountability happening unless it comes from the top, and how the top deals with hard questions is to push back with personal insults, when asked something they don't like. The bigger context is we are in the grips of a systemic failure, and the fix is to make sure leaders like Trump could never run for president, and laws are not so easy to ignore and break. Personally, I think our two party system is done. We need bigger representation, and something along the lines of parliament. Perhaps our system is intended to break. In many ways going back to how it was is unsatisfactory as well. It is comical that we have an attorney general who acts like a disgruntled third grader in front of congress. It is shameful. Any person in those files should be investigated, but they probably will sweep it under the rug, like many issues. I'm tired of the flagrant and incessant thumbing of noses at the "libs." You can bet when they run out of illegal immigrants, those detention camps will justify liberals or anyone who does not agree with Trump. Just like the Nazi's did.

A message for the author: Learn the difference between calvary and cavalry.

so that's what you have to say after reading that story ??

We all know the situation in this country is miserable. It's not like those of us paying attention are missing the point. I read dozens of stories day in and day out. And yes, I expect them to at least use the correct words. Sorry if that offends you.

It’s cavalry, not calvary.

I don't blame you for focussing on something like that after reading all the horribul stuff in the storie

I had a unique opportunity to work with incest survivors and rape survivors and the men who criminally abused them. I came out of that experience convinced that trying to rehabilitate and find a measure of accountability from those guys was a complete waste of time. They just continue to do what they do.

Sadly, that commercial was for naught. If Pam Bondi could outright ignore the survivors TWICE while they were standing behind her awaiting an apology (prompted by Democratic lawmakers) during the Congressional hearings, she doesn't give a crap about any of those little girls. She serves one master and he is a pedophile himself.

Play the long game, survivors. Pam Bondi is one Cabinet member who has virtually guaranteed herself a prison term - or 3. She will get hers. Karma's a bitch (even if it takes too long sometimes). The People support you - the ONLY bipartisan issue on which we can agree! - and there are far more People than billionaire Pedos.

The Epstein gifts and the lack of any meaningful remorse from the enablers are a recapitulation of the banality of evil, as described by Hannah Arendt.
