Bravo and amen, Senator Whitehouse! The open corruption that we are witnessing in real time, when the DOJ itself is helping it to happen, absolutely must be stopped and punished. I have long said that when the Trump regime is finally out of power, there needs to be a South Africa-style truth and reconciliation commission. I don’t believe this country can go on afterward without public trials and severe justice for the perpetrators of these public crimes, beginning with Trump.

I've watched a lot of the Senate hearings with various Trump appointees. Sen. Whitehouse stands out amongst the crowd. His questioning is first rate. He is extremely well-prepared for any answer and takes neither guff nor dissembling. He strikes me as an extremely intelligent and serious man, as well as a decent person who probably has a really good sense of humor. He doesn't talk just to hear himself talk, as way too many elected politicians do. In fact, I wrote to his office a couple of weeks ago and suggested that he would be the perfect Dem candidate for 2028. I live on the opposite coast from Rhode Island, so there was no response, but I hope someone will put that bug in his ear. He'd get my vote - and I can see his appeal to the vast "middle" population of voters.
Thanks Senator Whitehouse for your excellent post. I love the quote from "a man for all seasons." It's so true & puts the onus on the heads of the corrupt. I like your You Tube shorts too. I've learned a lot.
The DOJ attorneys who are being coreced into taking these positions in court need to get busy updating their real estate licenses. Because once the judges findout that they can't rely on the truch of what you say in court, you are finished as a lawyer, Bar disciplinary action is sort of beside the point.
