What a ghastly list. It's good to have it all delineated in one place, as keeping up with the individual grifts/thefts/emolument clause violations borders on insurmountable. This man is treating our country - us, as a personal ATM. When are Congress and the courts going to put an end to this? Our watchdogs are not doing their jobs to protect us and the country from this rampant theft. It is so important that regardless of the resistance, we must start voting these supporters and abettors out of Congress and elect people who will watch out for us;
Contrarian readers care, Democratic politicians care, people of conscience and ethics care but many millions of people regardless of political affiliation don't give rat's ass because their immediate life concerns are the sole focus of their attention now rather than the looting of billions by Trump and his hyenas. So, in the next months and years there is going to have to be a concerted effort to assist in dot connecting if we want to save what is left of our democracy.
It's why we have the tRump presidency and the jetsam and flotsam which accompany it. Tens of millions of people, regardless of political affiliation, don't care enough to get out and vote.
All the early markers, by-elections and polls are in our favor. More than 30 seats at various levels flipped from red to blue, independents fleeing the MAGA ship in droves and voting Democratic. That part looks good. What doesn't look good is our coffers -- we have no money. And lots of people here sniff at using the Senate and House committees, saying 'well, I prefer to donate to my own candidate.'
Turning the most important election in our lifetimes into a boutique shopping experience is not the way to win. I hope people will start waking up very soon to this reality while we can still do something about it.
All illegal activities that a competent, non-complicit Congress, the DOJ and SCOTUS could easily address by charging, him with treasonous activities, finding him guilty, imprisoning him and removing him from office. Instead, our Democracy is being held hostage by a right-wing GOP party.
Instead of impeachment we should imprison him and his cronies for treason against the State to avoid dealing with his entourage replacing the guilty parties. We need to be rid of them all! Your right though, we do have plenty of grounds for impeachment.
How I wish we were rid of this terrible excuse for a man, and his entire family could go somewhere, anywhere but here. He must be breaking laws, why can’t we get rid of him?
I only hope that some day he will be hauled to court and held accountable for the billions he has stolen from the US Treasury, i.e. US taxpayers. He is a serial criminal.
Unfortunately, the list needs to be updated every couple of days. Bannon's expressed wish to "flood the zone" with bovine byproduct has resulted in way too little condemnation of Trump's corruption. That doesn't even include Melania's sweetheart deal about the "documentary," which will never, ever make back its production costs.
This is an easy one. Sometimes it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to a week to identify the self-serving scam that Trump is trying to pull off. This one only takes a few seconds.
Here, Trump realized that the Republicans would be instantly slaughtered in the November elections if he induced his Attorney General ( who is also his former losing criminal defense attorney) to sign off on handing him over a billion dollars of the taxpayers' money to comfort him over his grief in having his tax returns improperly released to the public revealing how rich he really is.
Now, in acknowledging that the public would immediately see that such a "settlement" is a scam, he's now come up with a proposal for the D.O.J. ( or rather his D.O.J) to siphon off well over a billion dollars of the taxpayers' money to compensate murderers, rioters, hoodlums, thugs and his own co-conspirators who stormed the Capitol on January 6 and who participated around the country in fabricating phony records and pretexts to enable Trump to install his own impersonating Electors to steal back the Presidency for him, even though 80 courts around the country ruled that Trump had zero evidence of fraud.
This scam appears to direct this billion dollar "settlement " to every defendant investigated for or convicted of a federal crime by a jury of their peers during the 4 years of Biden's presidency .
There is no end to the madness and corruption of this President. He is psychotically obsessed with trying to humiliate Joe Biden for having legally and factually proven that Donald J. Trump ("The Bone-Spur Kid") lost the 2020 election, and was therefore a loser, and a BIG LOSER at that.
Trump made it explicitly clear throughout his 2024 campaign that he intended to go on a revenge tour against everyone who ever wronged him. Now, he wants the American taxpayer to pay for it.
We have a very mentally unstable, volatile, unpredictable and trigger-happy blowhard stting in the White House. We need to come together as a country to agree on and enforce guardrails that will hold for at least the next 2 years when, hopefully, sanity can be restored.
Can someone please explain to me exactly what wrongs the Biden administration perpetrated against the individuals or groups for whom this money is allegedly being appropriated?* But where was the weaponization during the Biden administration? Who was it aimed at? I'd appreciate any elucidation anyone can provide.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
*We all know, don't we, that most of it will be pocketed by Trump and family.
It appears that DJT et al. don't need to be specific about their accusations. They just need to throw them to the MAGA masses, and they gobble them up!
Every time Trump boasts of his achievements as "the greatest in history," I imagine Democratic campaign ads listing all these corrupt deals -- with a postscript by Trump saying they were the "greatest in history."
He truly has made history, and I can't wait for the voters to offer their judgment in 2026 and 2026.
When oh when is anybody or institution going to put an end to this wonton pillaging of our countrry? It's as if the 5th and 6th century Vandals have returned to us today. Trump is intent upon making the United States his seventh business to bankrupt. This must cease. He's robbing us blind.
Sorry Robert, you have no reason to feel shame. None of what this goniff is doing is anything that you can do more than the rest of us can at this point. It is trump who should be ashamed of the way he treats the American people (and our allies around the world). He has no capacity for shame, and has stated that he doesn't care. For the time being, we're stuck with him.
A very clever list, but you may have overshot with #4. While Trump genuinely deserves criticism for the lack of transparency, those trades look a lot like the implementation of a "tax loss harvesting" separately managed account. Easily explainable except by the dimwits he employs.
I'd substitute in the complete lack of transparency regarding federal taxes paid by Trump. Aside from his illegitimate $916,000,000 deduction, there's little we actually know. Except we can strongly suspect shenanigans are afoot as his income and expenses have changed in recent years. No longer is he a real estate developer utilizing its cherished depreciation, but rather a simple ordinary income generating huckster. Tax avoidance is much more difficult with licensing fees.

Some of the ones of the 77 million who did, lived in a bubble of alternative facts and voted accordingly. The result is what we are living in today.
We'll soon be testing that, won't we?

Impeachment and conviction first. Plenty of grounds for that.

voted in by "the people"

as are his voters

Melania also got millions of dollars in advances for the book she never wrote but someone else wrote it for her.
she obviously didn't spend the $$ on hats ....I hope !
trump should have been arrested the evening of Jan 6th
Remember when Trump was selling bibles? That’s like Hanibal Lecter selling cookbooks.
Let's play: "Find the Scam".

OBSCENE on so many levels. Epstein Epstein, Epstein.
Just when one believes that it can’t get any worse with this regime (thank you, Mr. Reich), each new day brings new grifts and discoveries.
Will this never end?
Where is the law or has it been so thoroughly compromised that it is useless except as a dim memory?
Is grift one of the President's core functions? Is it covered by the SCOTUS immunity ruling?
Then there's the grift on the part of the Supremes—Thomas, Alito and Roberts (through his wife).
Birds of a feather flock together.

I am overwhelmed by SHAME, Steve 218!

But tax evasion still works ...
Thank you.
