I'm sorry you felt you had to watch this guy blather. My sanity is kept intact by avoiding all sight and sound of him.

I suggest that everyone REFUSE to accept the new illegal coin with the orange orangutan on it. Make it a loser just like him, I don’t want any thing associated with that fat Moron anywhere near me

KnockKnockGreenpeace's avatar

I will drop it on the ground and pee on it.

Right. But I'm still not happy with how Dems rolled over in 2024 and conducted ZERO challenges or investigations. Not even 2-3 close states? No investigations into claims of Elon's involvement, whether BS or not, but NOTHING out of the Dems! Seemed like the same-old knife-to-a-gun-fight. The Dems need to get some fire in their belly or they can take a walk, we'll look for people who have it.

Steve 218's avatar

We're even beyond the 2024 election now. Our short-stopped Democratic candidate lost. We can name all of the faults from racism, misogyny/sexism, to not enough time to present a complete campaign. What we aren't seeing and should be, is preparation for 2028. Time to get out from behind the curve.

Dave Conant - MO's avatar

That's a rare and refreshing concept. We have to hope that the Democratic establishment will listen to you and not the consultants who keep getting exorbitant fees to lose elections.

Steve 218's avatar

Thank you. I've been around for 78 years, exposed to the workings of democracy (mom worked for House and Senate Democrats and the DNC) and may have learned a few things in that time.

Dave Conant - MO's avatar

It's amazing how a little actual experience provides perspective. At 75 I was beginning to think I knew a few things because I'd seen a few things, but this political scene is an ongoing learning experience.

Steve 218's avatar

That it is, and is something that we should never have had to experience.

Dave Conant - MO's avatar

And hopefully one we can prevent our grandkids from facing, but I remember thinking we'd resolved the issue when we got rid of Nixon when all we did was solve on part of the problem. A 9-headed Hydra would be easy compared to this.

Dr. Karen Stafford's avatar

Exactly. Leave the finger-pointing to the Republicans and figure out new strategies instead.

Steve 218's avatar

Hear hear! That's the way to do it!

David Parrish's avatar

Yes, but analysis of what really happened in 2024 WILL HELP PREPARE US for the shenanigans planned for 2026/2028.

Steve 218's avatar

I think that was what Dr.Stafford was alluding to. New strategies, as she says are where we should be going, inferring that we learn from what happened in 2024.

Kevin Stewart's avatar

Completely agree. As in the Stephen Comments about Antifa and that they all look funny. Democrats should be posting a similar response about the skin head, weird looking Neo Nazi and his Fat boss with a comb over - yeah like that is normal. Stop taking the high road, get in the trenches and pull some punches!!!

Connie Phillips's avatar

SO AGREE‼️‼️‼️ This is NOT “everything is normal, we’ll continue to be the nice guys” time‼️‼️‼️

Maybe it’s time to start purchasing billboard space where Trump commutes to his properties to inform him TRUMP LOST IN 2020.

KnockKnockGreenpeace's avatar

And also: windmills don't cause cancer.

Steve 218's avatar

And magnets work, even when they are wet.

William Darian Boggs's avatar

Rick Wilson of the Lincoln Project has mastered the audience of one with his digital ads which are put in front of Trump online. Rick knows how many times Trump's account views the ads, which is many times. The ads are meant to get under Trump's skin and make him question everyone and everything.

Steve 218's avatar

Remember, Trump's commutes are almost all by air, so billboards would have minimal effect on him. They might (finally) have an effect on his loyal followers though. It's a consideration.

Judy Stoddard's avatar

Give me a break. Stop trying to debunk with facts the lies coming out of this cretin's mouth. Even with Trump's pea-sized, addled brain, there is no doubt in my mind that Trump doesn't know he lost the 2020 election. He is simply playing to his criminally gullible base and cynical, power-mad "friends."

Jane in NC's avatar

We KNOW from testimony of various Trump 1.0 staffers at the J6th Hearings that he not only knew, but admitted he lost.

KnockKnockGreenpeace's avatar

He just believed that cheating would ultimately prevail because it always had before. He may have been surprised, but a person can't be in denial if they don't know the thing they need to deny to be true.

Debi's avatar

He's still working from lessons he learned from Roy Cohn - If you say something false as if it is actually true and repeat it often enough as if it is true, eventually some people will believe it is true. The more you repeat the process, the more people will start to believe the lie is actually the truth. You'd think after 6 years he'd have moved on to a new lie, but I am pretty sure that between his basic stupidity, his ego and his rapidly progressing dementia, he's incapable of thinking at that level of complexity.

Josef Goebbels excelled at the same thing.

“Trump’s Speech About 2020 Proved He Was a Loser — and Still Is”

We didn’t need any further proof! He has more-than-confirmed that Status……and there is no doubt!

Chris Dortch's avatar

He's a wild animal backed into a corner, so I fear he'll try anything to avoid accountability for his blatant corruption and try to use the power at his disposal to interfere with the midterms, or call the results into question. (Though I do think even many of his own people are beginning to think he's bonkers!) But if Norm, Jen and the Contrarian team say they're ready for anything this historically evil scoundrel might throw out there, I believe them. I'm a charter subscriber and will continue my subscription, if for nothing else to absorb the positivity The Contrarian provides.

Steve 218's avatar

Well said, and right with you,

RStone's avatar

I agree! He is a wild animal backed into a corner! No one is addressing a frightening option for a desperate president after the election results are completed in December 2026 before certification in early 2027: declaring a national emergency of a “fraudulent election” and using thousands of federal military troops, state guard troops, police, ICE forces and even the MAGA paramilitary (from January 6) to surround the Capitol building and prevent Democratic elected officials from being sworn in January 2027.

What can be done legally? Congress and the courts have really no military or police power over the president’s direct orders. Also Pete Hegseth has removed all long standing generals and others who may be disloyal in a crisis. Trump has shown he will do whatever military and police action he wants. What can the public do? National spending boycott? Nationwide strikes by workers?

William Darian Boggs's avatar

I agree. From one paid subscriber to another, thank you. I am happy to have my money going to a worthy cause, democracy.

I think Trump will do everything interfere with the election including lying about the results. The backlash against Trump and his GOP Congress will be massive if it is obvious that the "official results" differ from what we voted for.

Kathleen M. Eisenhauer's avatar

You make me smile from ear to ear, Norm! I can feel your passion for the truth and our laws. You have the gift of oration that lifts up all of your ‘The Contrarians’! Thank you so very much!!

It is so vital at time in our collective histories to dig deep…to lift up family, friend, neighbors, strangers as we seek the truth and justice. We can, we will, we must!!!

What makes teh situation worse following Trump's BS filled speech was that Mark-Wayne immediately threaten State election official with prison if they didn't get on board with Trump's plans. Mark-Wayne just lost all credibility with that statement. Like has been said over 53,000 times in the past 4 weeks, the Federal government has NO jurisdiction over the states when it comes to any election. This was done to see fear and for no other reason.

Steve 218's avatar

Since when has this bunch of criminals cared about what the Constitution has to say? Mullin's threat, assuming it materializes, will finish up in District Courts across the land.

Steven Erick's avatar

You are correct. I can hear the paper shuffling from here!

William Darian Boggs's avatar

CISA is the only part of DHS that has anything to do with elections, and it has nothing to do with enforcement. So Mullins is completely out of bounds. The only risk of seeing him lose in court is that he will decide this is a time, this is a place to take care of it outside.

Carole Langston's avatar

I do believe ICE's blatant criminality and murderous tendencies, has been part of the conditioning process. The inhuman 🍊 Regime wants the general populace to believe that orders will come and the 🍊 THUGS will break heads and arrest all of us, feeding encouragement to IT'S vile core and terrifying the opposition.

No prosecution in 2020, emboldened all of these miscreants.

The pathetic excuse for a president currently occupying the White House has been a big fat loser his entire worthless, miserable life. Born into wealth and bought his way into the best schools but accomplished nothing on his own, even bankrupted a casino. He is and always will be a Loser, and that is precisely how history will remember him.

John Niemitz's avatar

Trumps truly pathological malignant narcissism will not allow him to cease his 2020 crap. He “needs” to take that with him to his grave.

Candace Bartsch's avatar

We also chose not to watch the blathering. It hasn't changed in 20 years. Thank you for taking one for the team.

>every respectable network refused to carry it,

Your statement stands as it is, CBS has removed themselves from the ranks of respectable networks, at least as far as news it concerned.

Bob Egbert's avatar

Trump is a "loser' morally & in some court cases. However, he's still a winner because he's still in office. Thirty seven percent of Americans still worship him and the so-called "Republican" (MAGA) Senators & Representatives still quake at the sound of his voice. Functionally, he will continue to be a winner unless he's forced out of office and put in jail.

William Darian Boggs's avatar

We are more than happy to replace all the Congressional Republicans with people who will stand up to him.

Also, I think Trump will spend the rest of his life in court, between lawsuits that take all his money and criminal charges for all the crimes he has committed while in office and out of office.

He has absolute immunity for core duties and presumptive immunity for other official acts, but he has been making a fortune off corruption in his personal life. When people around him are scared of prosecution, they will sing.

Steve 218's avatar

Now that is an unpleasant and accurate reality.

Night Has A Thousand Eyes's avatar

Along the lines of the Carville statement "It's the economy, stupid", Trump knows he lost but he and the backers of Project 2025 need a hook to justify the non-democratic takeover of our country. Thus Trump's carping about 2020 is merely a shiny penny distraction for something far more insidious.
