Our ability to hold up under stress is a test of our resilience.

The test of human resilience is always a wonder. During times of personal struggle, I always look back in history to learn about how ancestors survived hardship; to later thrive. History may not always repeat itself exactly, but it does rhyme. One lesson I know for a fact is that it is never worth it to capitulate to evil at any price; our souls are priceless.

Much of the anti-Iran war sentiment is anchored by distrust of the "judgement" of Trump et al.

A normal human being as president, who advanced pressure on the regime without blowing it to hell, would be broadly supported.

For the life of me, I see little difference between what Trump did regarding Iran and what the Japanese did regarding Pearl Harbor. Both wars were over control of oil. Negotiators for Japan and the U.S. were negotiating with their counterparts as the attacks unfolded. Both have led to war crimes although Japan's went on for years to unspeakable horrors while Trump is just getting started by bombing a girls school killing some 180 people.

One might say the "inflection point" will be the midterms, but I'd warn the Democratic Party that the inflection point is not one point in time. It's all the little points that put you into a corner that may be very hard to recover from. The clock starts today and the bell tolls daily.

Maybe Trump is untouchable until the midterms, but his lackeys are not untouchable. That was proven by the ouster of Noem just days ago. Anybody who watched that testimony under oath could see she was toast thanks to some very sharp tongued legislators, at least one of whom was a Republican. Patel, Bondi and Hegseth (and man would I like to have Miller under oath for the American people to witness) should be put in the docket under oath and given the same treatment which they richly deserve.

Every day that passes without action is another day down the path to a future I can't imagine, but it won't include an American democracy

It's almost as if we're in two different countries. That of Trump, his war, Epstein, ICE and his regime-like administration, and then there are the many of us who are outside this bubble. We do not look on in wonder or amazement; we look on in horror as our country is being wrecked by these vandals. We are being tested, and there must be a day of reckoning. There must be consequences.
