Today, an article in the UK's The Guardian was entitled: "Trump v world: Countries are waking up to the chaos of an amoral leader". Support for your point, which I fully agree with.

"I will just say this: their plan is insane. It will lead to devastating escalation and the likely destruction of our commitment to the rule of law. … There’s been open reporting as to what we may be planning and the civilian infrastructure that we may be targeting. "

Beyond horrible.

If Dems win this election, he may back off on his criminal plan. If he doesn't, Dems may be able to hold him accountable.

VOTE!

Knowing Don the Con, if the Dems win, not only will he not back off, he'll probably step it up just to try to boss them around!

Probably.

But he won't have the same impact, since he is currently historically unpopular AND a lame duck.

Thinking about Senator Chris Murphy and pray he makes a quick recovery. Not one other Senator or Representative made the trip to the Mideast with Senator Murphy. This is shameful to me. I highly admire his devotion to finding the truth.

The long lines for voting this weekend make me hopeful.

Regarding the war and many other issues, it is fish or cut bait time for the Dems. I expect to see action to address what's ailing our nation. If I don't see it I'll be looking next time for someone I can trust to do it. Won't be the same Dems we elected this time.

Dems need to remember they need to actually really keep up the fight from the second they get in office....its a mistake to think this is a realignment, or even that the Dems will win primarily on their own merits.

If the Dems don't deliver some serious actions, they will lose in 2028.

I’m sick of this mealy-mouthed “co-equal branch” obfuscation. The Congress is preeminent. It represents us, the people. It controls money. Take the gloves off and say it loud and proud.

It's a good thing that Michigan voters nominated Abdul El-Sayed as their candidate, who will be a strong voice against this stupid, immoral war...as opposed to Haley Stevens, who showed her true colors yesterday and very likely would have voted with the GOP to support this war and support anything else that involved Israel.

I am surprised no one has mentioned this political earthquake here yet. Much like John Fetterman, we have yet another Democrat who has very literally elevated her nearly fanatical obsession with Israel over everything she has claimed to stand for by endorsing the abjectly awful MAGA extremist Mike Rogers over her own party's nominee. It is truly despicable.

The bright side is, Haley's betrayal has united Democrats in a big way, and has even forced Dems that had backed Stevens and been critical or at best lukewarm on El-Sayed to come out in support of him, like Neera Tanden and Charles Schumer. El-Sayed had a huge fundraising day yesterday.

And to top it off, this was also reported yesterday by Drop Site News:

'Mike Rogers Campaign Spokesperson Is a Registered Agent for Israel, Documents Show:

Abigail Ronson and Jesse Stokes have been working for the government of Israel since May and last October, respectively, while also working on the campaign of Mike Rogers for Senate.'

Can anyone imagine the firestorm if a Senate candidate's spokesperson was a registered foreign agent of any other country? There would be a tidal wave of news..instead this has resulted in crickets so far.

My impression from reading headlines was that El-Sayed needed Haley Stevens’ backing to reassure Black voters. Clearly, there’s no reassurance for Black people coming from Stevens if she wants Rogers to win. I have no doubt this isn’t lost on Black voters. Yes, this incident shows the best candidate won the primary.

And I’m congratulating myself for not following NYTimes reporting on this or the Alaska story about two candidates with the same name, which isn’t news and doesn’t point to illegalities. Alaska already has a ballot resolution with clear identifying information for the incumbent. I look at those articles and think, “There’s legacy media being legacy media.” I know better than to engage.

Oh yeah, I have seen plenty of particularly enraged comments from Black Michigan voters, not only for being sold out but for being used as 'props' by Stevens.

And agree about the Alaska 'scandal'. Rick Wilson summed it up well on Waj Ali's show the other day: "The amount of f$%ks I give about this is so small, it cannot be measured by scientific instruments."

In another forum I had posted that Trump was openly calling the electorate of Alaska stupid if they couldn't differentiate between the two Dan Sullivans. Someone promptly informed me that we woke people had no appreciation of Donald Trump's humor. Which took me by surprise because I've seen little sign over the years that Trump HAS a sense of humor. I responded that saying openly that voters in Alaska needed an IQ of 190 to understand the ranked choice ballot I found to be insulting too and could not find the humor in any of it. I was met with silence!

The cognitive dissonance is amazing.

Has anyone ever heard Trump laugh, ever? He barely even smiles.

And yes, hard to tell difference between candidates when one is labeled 'Republican - Incumbent'.

Next!

We have to stop a resumption of bombing, as Jen laid out. She’s right, mass-protests may be necessary. The challenge will be if the Trump regime does indeed engage in post-election efforts to thwart the will of the voters, because mass protests may be needed there as well, as part of a stepped up series of responses, as Invisible outlined after No Kings last month. We the People can do both, and it’s likely that mass protests against another bombing campaign in Iran will be first because that will happen first. Either way, please be ready to let your voice be heard, after you’ve voted.

This is yet another example illustrative of why we need to revise Articles I, II, and III of the Constitution. Congress needs the constitutional wherewithal to be able to stop a rogue president in his tracks. The President also needs to be made susceptible to criminal prosecution and automatic removal if convicted. It is painfully obvious that the Founders never imagined a mad mob boss in the presidency.

Let's review the facts. Isreal suckered republican-fascist trump to bomb a girl children school. Isreal has committed the worst genocide and whole scale destruction of a country since WWII. The USA can't give Ukraine any patriots because we have none to spare,BUT we can give Isreal patriot missiles. The republican-fascist party totally backs trump kissing put inside ass and backing the illigal attack on Ukraine especially the outright killing of innocent civilians. The republican-fascist party totally supports the killing of innocent citizens in our streets with video confirmation. The republican-fascist party totally supports turning our backs on our allies that have fought and died beside us. I believe it is time to abolish ice and destruction. To temporarily shut down our embassy in Isreal. To replace the republican-fascist party and pursue accountability for all crimes against our constitution and rule of law. How long do we close our eyes to all this hate and greed?

Mr. Schrader, I never bought the excuse that we cannot do anything because we lack majorities.

Trump has demonstrated that his ego is the test for leaving Iran. His ego could drive him to use a tactical nuclear weapon.

What, pray tell, would “winning” look like? There seems to be no reason for this war other than bombing and destruction - plus needless suffering for the Iranian people.

I’m concerned that Iran will find a way to retaliate on U.S. soil.

Thank you ! Today You call out the post-election war plan and tie the stress of it to Chris Murphy's stoke.

My speculative mind has ruminated on this potential outcome and you write it.

While we do not know how our body/mind works, yet men women of conscience listen, read and acknowledge, those willing to bear the stresses to tell us the stories of danger and of hope effecting our lives and the lives of millions people . Thank you.
