Everybody should click on the link in this sentence: "And in photos, the two look as in love as ever, aging like fine wine."

Such a beautiful picture and such beautiful Christmas wishes! And then to read the hateful, insulting and just plain stupid responses! They make me gag.

It is unbelievable what two such intelligent, beautiful (inside and out) and decent people have to put up with - from people who are just the lowest scum of the earth, including the orange convicted felon.

Yes, they do look sexy in that picture, but my favorite is the picture accompanying your article, Shalise. You can see the love Barack has for Michelle after all these years. He looks like he's in heaven being hugged by her.

I love them both and I miss them more than ever. The three and one-half hours of the opening yesterday were heaven and Michelle's speech was out of this world.

Again I point out, as I did with Lorraine Forte's article, how much warmer and appropriate to the moment Shalise's account is than the unflattering preview in the Atlantic a week and a half ago. It suggested there was something nefarious about the makeup of the "library," which this presidential center doesn't purport to be. Even if it did, there is no national standard to be met for presidential libraries; witness the mockup for Trump's Loser Library and Phallus Hotel set for Miami's shoreline.

It's important to mention the mood that Obama's center invokes, which does meet the moment and also promises to remain timeless: it reflects Barack's optimism and love of democracy that Michelle mentioned, and transmits that mood even via long distance through a scattering of articles and videos that I've seen thus far. In short, it's electrifying, renewing, and challenging of our better natures. Thanks, Shalise, for pointing out that much of this stems from the personalities of the Obamas themselves, dignity personified.

If we'd been a better country, Barack Obama could've been a better president. Even better, I should say. He and his wife gave us their all. I miss those days.

Excellent points there. I know many MAGAs who should read this.
