Silver Spring is my absolute favorite Fleetwood Mac song.

I've always thought "Songbird" is the great underappreciated song from this album. Overshadowed at the time by all the big hits but a truly transcendently beautiful song and performance. Eva Cassidy did a nice cover in the 90s which brought it back into public consciousness but the original is my favorite.

Love the “codas” from the past. My college roommate kept an 8 track of Stevie nicks going 24/7. She was from Florida. She didn’t make it to the next year. Every time I hear Stevie I get this urge to study or go to bed :)

Stevie Nicks is a mega super talent! No one has a voice that sounds anything like hers!

The streaming and internet era has also provided so much more opportunity to stumble across music, or go listen to something in it's original form that another newer artist has covered (The Chicks and Landslide 20 years ago come to mind), or to go listen to what a new artist mentions in passing as something that influenced them. With more female artists stepping properly into their market power these last couple-three decades, the opportunities have multiplied for them to simply be asked about or volunteer their inspirations. Each component magnifies the others....

Enjoyed this read and the links to songs/videos. I do find it unusual for that older song to be popular again. Thank you.
