I have three (hopefully helpful) comments: 1) most degrees don't mean what they used to, 2) Master's degree programs are historically the money-makers for any school, easier to get into and through, and 3) with all due respect to its sincere practitioners, I see speech pathology as basically insular: an easily-compartmentalized activity that doesn't automatically reflect a broader, more nuanced view of politics and so-called "real life."
