"Any decent human being......."

would NOT be a Republican........or, vote for one.

Vote Blue.......and get us OUT of this mess!!!!!

Any kind and empathic human being would not be a supporter of Donald Trump and his mafia Putin lover Circle.

Yesterday I left a comment about leaving the posting near gas stations. Today I suggest that democratic citizens take out billboard ads that read. “Donald Trump and his family earned hundreds of billions of dollars this year. How much did your family earn?”

I certainly hope Democrats are able to tar the rethugs with their corruption and hypocracy. But also, their cruelty and inability to bring themselves to criticize Dear Leader and their cowardly and, I think, treasonous lack of oversight of the cloud of chaos which tRump has brought to The Nation - and world.

Imagine! A U.S. president praising his "friendship" with the North Korean dictator while insulting our South Korean trading partners. How do you spell "TRAITOR" again?

The Repubs have become the enemy from within that the framers of the Constitution warned about. Their refusal to uphold their oaths of office and their pledging allegiance to a Felon and his cabal of democracy destroyers fit the definition of traitors.

This is so true and so important to be said!

A former press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, also accused Miller of physical, abuse. An unnamed high school acquaintance reported he pushed her out of a dorm room and caused her to fall down a flight of stairs after she resisted his physical, advances.

Lawler is particularly odious. He has 2 ads running/ on no tax on tips and SALT. Literally that is ALL he has to run on. Rockland and West Chester counties in NY will see right through him.

I'll never forget as long as I live the time Lawler stood by and was happy to see the police carry an elderly woman out of his rally -- her crime? Asking too many questions. Absolutely despicable. This was during the height of the DOGE cuts and Lawler could not calm his constituents, who were on fire. His response to them? Use of police: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IVjZBq4O7rM

Miller and Lawler are a part of the cult, the Trump Party, which uses the name "Republican" because they can. They fear a mean tweet from their Dear Leader more than anything else.

If you want a return to sanity in our government, you must vote against the "Republican" party.

The Republican party as we once knew it is gone. Incinerated. All MAGA. Even so called moderate ones with nothing to lose, say nothing and do nothing. I hope history remembers all their names and they are disgraced forever.

Lawler has long been an abomination, while money allegedly pours in from Musk et al to keep that Congressional seat yet again. Somehow, in my signing petitions by MoveOn and like organizations, they reached out to Congress on my behalf and I ended up on his mailing list. No other Congressperson has stolen my name and address from that simple contact. Worst of all, I now find I cannot remove myself. I'm going to the PO today to see how I can keep his obnoxious lies out of my mailbox. They arrive several times a week, glossy and expensive B.S.

I'd shovel it all into a large envelope and mail it back to his headquarters with a letter explaining what you actually think of him and a request that he stop sending you garbage to line your birdcage with.

I did that (without postage) to a home furnishing catalog that wouldn’t desist from frequent mailing. They did.

Republicans always put party, and now fealty to trump, above country. They have become despicable as they kowtow to the despicable in the tacky Oval Office.

I think Steve Schmidt said it very well in his program yesterday. If a candidate has an R after their name on the ballot, regardless of office, vote for the democrat or other candidate. The gop must lose and lose again and again. There is nothing even remotely connected with democracy at this point with any of these R candidates. They and their party are a clear and present danger to the US and the world.

"What can he do but back the alleged abuser?" I don't know why people are still surprised that Trump will protect yet another man who treats women this way. Trump choses people on the basis of how much their behavior mirrors his own. Every one of his picks are deeply damaged people, like him. and from misogyny in the Dept. of Defense to support of Paxton, Gaetz, Hegseth, Patel and the rest, his boys cheerfully tow the line.

Are Republicans still claiming to be the party of family values? That seems to mean, treat trans people like serial ax murders, but ignore abuse of women and children.

Dawn's avatar

Treating abuse of women and children as "a private family matter" is a tired old dodge from the patriarchy. This is the world that MAGA wants to return us to. It is shameful.

this is the world MAGA HAS returned us to...

As a retiree, I wonder what working for corporate America is like right now. The company I worked for was global and had employees of probably every ethnicity working there. What do business leaders tell their employees when the leader of our country denigrates them openly? It would be hard for me to stay silent working next to a trump supporter. So it's good that I'm retired.

Robert Welker's avatar

It seems that allegations of misconduct have become prerequisites for MAGA-backed office holders. Follow the leader?

I truly wonder what the future holds for the Republican Party, obviously hoping it is dismal. Nevertheless, how can a political party long survive when completely amoral, unethical, semi-delusional, corrupt, greedy, and completely rejecting of science and all reality? I realize that people talk of "normal" Republicans. There might be a cadre of silent Republicans who live in a world of 40 years ago, but they must be oblivious and really old. Young Republicans can only be described as frankly "nuts."

When that party accurately represents their voters, and their voters are a large block of people in the United States. SIGH. Here’s hoping for a better future for America.

These questions can be easily resolved. Miller should be charged with the crimes alleged and maybe a jury can work it all out for him.
