The gop must lose and lose again and again. There is nothing even remotely connected with democracy at this point with any of these R candidates. I got to that point several years ago because of Trump. I still agonize over local judges; I wish they didn't have party affiliations. We have a few really good strenuously non-partisan judges who run as Republicans just because they don't have a network inside the local Democratic Party to get slated. There's one in particular I will probably vote for until she retires. She runs as an R, but has no engagement with the party and is known for just focusing on the cases in front of her. She also is an advocate for restorative justice.
I occasionally have that problem with local officials. There are a few R's in the city council that just "do the job" without playing partisan games.
But I have crossed my line and will not vote for any R for any County, State or National office. Their brand is too tarnished, and if that means some good local person will never rise to higher office, that's their problem. I truly wonder what the future holds for the Republican Party, obviously hoping it is dismal. Nevertheless, how can a political party long survive when completely amoral, unethical, semi-delusional, corrupt, greedy, and completely rejecting of science and all reality? I realize that people talk of "normal" Republicans. There might be a cadre of silent Republicans who live in a world of 40 years ago, but they must be oblivious and really old. Young Republicans can only be described as frankly "nuts."

I suspect most of those who voted for Felon47 in 2024 couldn't handle the idea of Harris and as a result were seeking a return to something they thought they knew and felt comfortable with. When the new shitshow administration began showing its true colors, they found going with that flow of horse manure was less uncomfortable than admitting they'd chosen to accept easily provable lies and BS when making their voting decisions. Interesting how so much of the faults and failures and incompetence of this regime traces back to frail male egos and the ever-expanding need of these lunatics to pretend they are better than they ever were or could be.
